Transplant Australia is inspired by every donors decision.

This selfless act allows others to life. Some donor families go above and beyond to share their family story to the wider Australian public. We are forever grateful.

One such family, the Udani family sadly lost their son Deyaan in 2016 and went on to give another four people a chance at life. Deyaan's parents, Rupesh and Mili created Saffron Day which raises awareness of donation amongst multi-cultural Australia. They are very closely connected to the Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur which is a spiritual movement inspiring thousands around the world.

We were privileged to meet the SRMD Spiritual Leader, Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshji in Sydney last Sunday and gain a deeper understanding of his teachings. He is a strong believer in organ and tissue donation and it highlights the importance of working closely with our communities to inspire all Australians to support donation.

Chris Thomas is the Chief Executive Officer of Transplant Australia, a national organization promoting organ and tissue donation.
