Our annual Northside Muslim Circle Iftar at Tiba’s in Roxburgh Park last night was a beautiful evening of connection and community. It was lovely to gather once again with our regular friends while also welcoming some wonderful new faces.

Sharing iftar together during Ramadan is always special, and the warmth, laughter, and meaningful conversations around the table were a reminder of the blessings of togetherness.

Our annual NMC Iftar at Tiba’s in Roxy on Friday night was truly special! We gathered to break our fast, reconnect with old friends, and warmly welcome new ones - all united in the love of Allah SWT.

The evening was filled with joy, gratitude, and heartfelt conversations, made even sweeter by the delicious food and desserts we shared. Moments like these remind us of the true beauty of Ramadan: The warmth of community, the joy of giving, and the blessings of togetherness.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and made the effort to be with one another. It was your presence that made this night so special! 🌙✨

As we welcome the sacred month of Ramadan 🌙✨ tonight or tomorrow (for those going by moonsighting), we extend our warmest wishes to our beloved community. May this month be filled with peace, spiritual renewal, and abundant blessings for you and your families.

Ramadan is a time of self-reflection, patience, and drawing closer to Allah through prayer, fasting, and acts of kindness. It is a month of giving - of our time, our love, and our support to those in need. May our hearts be softened, our faith strengthened, and our community united in goodness and compassion.

We are greatly looking forward to breaking our fast with our community members at our upcoming Iftar at Tiba's Restaurant on Friday, 7th March. Limited tickets are still available, so make sure to join us for an evening of togetherness, reflection, and delicious food.

With Ramadan fast approaching, it is good to be aware of how illnesses and medications can affect you whilst fasting.

Please note it is not safe for some people to fast, and that’s ok. One reason can include diabetes. The useful link below can help us all better understand.

If you have concerns, please make time to speak with your medical professional who knows your condition and medications, as they are best to guide you.

Ramadan is observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting (Sawm). In 2025, Ramadan is expected to commence on 27 Feb - 29 March.

We hosted our first event of the year yesterday at picnic grounds of the historic Le Page Homestead in South Morang. Our inaugural Twilight Picnic was a wonderful chance to reconnect with friends we hadn’t seen in months.

A special shoutout to the three sisters who travelled all the way from Werribee to join us - you made the day even more special. And of course, a huge thank you to Sonia L. for manning the BBQ like a pro and bringing along tea, coffee, and even kids' entertainment. You’re amazing!

We hope you all enjoyed the delicious food, great company, and the chance to admire the beautiful roses and flowers in the homestead garden. The day was everything we’d hoped for, ending at Maghrib.

Our next picnic will be surrounded by nature once more at the beautiful Lake Nagambie on Saturday, 15th February. Save the date, we can’t wait to see you there!

Yesterday, we held our Northside Muslim Circle AGM to reflect on the past year and plan for an exciting year ahead. As always, we shared a delicious dinner together before diving into planning mode!

While we had to pause our events for a few months due to personal reasons, we’re thrilled to announce our first event of 2025: A Twilight Picnic on Saturday, 18 January at the newly upgraded Le Page Homestead in South Morang, starting at 4pm.

We can’t wait to reconnect and enjoy a beautiful afternoon and evening with you all. Save the date and join us for a relaxing start to the year!
