Congratulations to our 2026 graduates, Aiyden, Jacob, Mitchell, Riley, and Sasha!

In Week 9, we hosted a fantastic "Electric Dreams" evening celebrating their journeys and achievements.

A heartfelt thank you to all the family and staff who joined us to make this event truly memorable. We wish our graduates all the best as they step boldly into their bright futures! 🪩

Last week, we were honoured to host Sutherland Shire Mayor Jack Boyd during his final week in office! Jack enjoyed a fresh coffee from Dunlea Café, toured our school and residential spaces, and spent time chatting with our students and staff.

The visit coincided perfectly with our School Captain, Jacob, receiving early entry into the Bachelor of Cyber Security & Behaviour program at Western Sydney University (congratulations, Jacob! 👏👏). Working in cyber security himself, Jack generously offered to lend a helping hand to Jacob when he begins his studies in 2027.

Thank you, Jack, for taking the time to visit us and for your wonderful support of our students!

R U OK? Day 💛

Yesterday across Dunlea Centre, our clinical team spent quality time dropping into classrooms to lead open, meaningful discussions with students about mental health, check-ins, and supporting one another.

In addition, our Stage 5 and 6 students had the privilege of hearing from guest speaker Luca Fiorentino from throughthenoise.com.au! Luca shared invaluable insights on cutting through life's noise, building resilience, and looking out for your mates.

Congratulations and thank you to our students and staff for their dedication and participation in Bullying No Way Week at Dunlea Centre. Guided by this year’s theme, Small Acts, Big Impact, our staff led daily challenges and thoughtful discussions throughout the week.

At the same time, our young people actively put positive actions into practice, reflecting on how everyday choices - like showing kindness, checking in on a friend, including someone left out, or speaking up - can make a massive difference.

This week, some of our amazing senior students, along with staff members Ben and Jordan, cooked up a delicious batch of freezer meals to support the Shire Salvos Heathcote Community of HOPE store.

A huge thank you to these young people for rolling up their sleeves, showing true leadership, and giving back to the community in such a thoughtful and practical way!

Today, our Year 12s received their Senior Jackets 🎓

Starting their journey in our Residential Program and successfully transitioning into Day Students, these young people have shown so much growth and resilience.

We’re incredibly proud of how far they’ve come and look forward to supporting them every step of the way as they finish out their final year!

Big shoutout to Holly, one of our bright high school students! As part of her learning journey, Holly has been completing work experience right here at Dunlea Centre once a week in our Primary Program. She is doing an amazing job, and both our staff and her peers love having her in their classroom.

Exciting news for our staff and coffee lovers! Dunlea Café is evolving into a structured, three-week program designed to give our young people valuable, real-world, hands-on experience.

Under the guidance of Finn and Brady, participating students will learn key customer service, operational, and organisational skills, earning a resume-boosting certificate upon completion.

Initial feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and we can’t wait to see our students excel!
