Thinking of joining a class or activity at Endeavour Hills Neighbourhood Centre? Here’s how our annual enrolment fee works (it’s simple, we promise!).

To take part in any of our classes, each person needs to pay the annual enrolment fee. It’s just $10 per year (or $5 concession) and you only pay it once each year. After that, you’re welcome to join in as many classes and activities as you like throughout the year.

Why do we have an annual enrolment fee? ✨
As a not-for-profit, this small contribution helps provide vital funds to keep the Centre running—so we can continue offering programs, support, and a welcoming place for our community to connect. We truly appreciate your contribution and how much it helps our Centre.

If you have any questions about the annual enrolment fee, please give us a call Monday to Friday, 9am–3pm—we’re always happy to help.

Did you know we have a local legend in our midst? 🎣🏆

Meet Keith. If you’ve spent any time at the Centre, you might know him as one of the friendly faces from our Computer Club. But if you pull up a chair and have a chat, you’ll discover he once fished competitively on the same team as Aussie fishing icon Rex Hunt—and Keith had a knack for coming out on top more often than not!

Keith’s also had an incredible working life. He became a qualified Refrigeration Mechanic in the 50s, and went on to senior roles managing air conditioning and refrigeration projects across Australia (and even trained in the United States with Thermo King).

That’s what we love about community—you never quite know the amazing stories sitting right beside you until you say hello. When we take the time to connect, we find laughter, shared interests, and people who make our Centre feel like home.

Want to talk tech—or hear a fishing tale or two? Come along to the Endeavour Hills Neighbourhood Centre Computer Club, introduce yourself, and get involved. Keith is always up for a chat (especially if it’s about fishing!).

Love gardening, but finding it’s getting a bit too cold? ❄️

Come along to our Garden Club—we do what we can outside together, then head into our cosy club room for a warm cuppa and a good chat.

And the best part? Even when the weather isn’t great, there’s still plenty to do. We might dry and store seeds, plan new garden beds, flick through a gardening book, or simply catch up over a cuppa and enjoy the company. There’s always a way to be involved, at your own pace.

When: Fridays, 9:30am – 11:30am
Where: Our garden facility, 11 Hellyer Way, Endeavour Hills
Cost: $5 per class (plus a small annual membership fee)

No need to be an expert—just bring yourself, wear something comfy, and join in at your own pace. You’ll be warmly welcomed.
Bookings are essential—please phone us on 9700 3789 to let us know you're coming. 📞

Have you ever put off making a will because it feels a bit overwhelming?

That’s exactly why it was so lovely to see our community come together recently for our free Law Week information session on Wills and Powers of Attorney at Endeavour Hills Neighbourhood Centre. It felt calm, welcoming, and really supportive — just neighbours learning alongside neighbours.

A heartfelt thank you to South-East Monash Legal Service (SMLS) for presenting in such a clear, friendly way. There was no legal jargon, just practical information about:

✅ why having a will matters
✅ how to take simple steps to get one organised
✅ what a power of attorney is
✅ when you might need it, and where to find help

People came with questions, or just to listen — and that was completely okay. What stood out most was the sense of connection in the room: everyone looking out for themselves and their family, with a bit of reassurance from being in it together.

If you need legal support beyond the session, SMLS offers free help for people in Melbourne’s south-east. Call 9545 7400.

Last week we hosted our Biggest Morning Tea at Endeavour Hills Neighbourhood Centre, and our hearts are still full.

A huge thank you to everyone in our community who came along, brought a friend, baked, helped out, donated, or simply took the time to share a cuppa with us. It was such a lovely morning — lots of friendly chats, plenty of laughs, and a beautiful spread of sweet and savoury treats.

And talk about a special surprise… we were honoured to welcome a surprise visitor, Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan, who popped in to say hello and share in the community spirit. It was a wonderful reminder of how much connection matters — and how proud we all are of what we have here.

Most of all, we’re proud that our morning tea wasn’t just fun — it was for a great cause. Thanks to your generosity, we raised money for the Cancer Council, helping support vital research, prevention programs, and services for people affected by cancer.

It’s the small moments that make a big difference — a warm welcome, a shared table, a kind donation — and you helped make them all happen. Thank you for being part of it, Endeavour Hills! 💚🌼
