Thank you so much everyone who helped us this year! Whether it be with rally prep, donating or sharing our story. We raised a total of $9400!! A new personal fundraising goal!! Every cent of that is going towards cancer research. Thank you everyone!!!!

8,076km later we have made it home safely. What an adventure it was! Now to unload the car and recover before back to reality (work) on Wednesday!

Sometimes it’s the small things. Sitting down for a breakfast in a cafe with REAL cups. 😍 homeward bound today - 8 hours to go, but first a breakfast treat.

Left the sunshine and beaches behind today and started the journey home. Made it to Mittagong, good nights rest then only 8 hours tomorrow and we are home. Tested the commodores range today got 635km before we stopped to fill just past Raymond Terrace, still had 10L in the tank so would have been fine for another 80 or so km but I was on edge the whole time driving. 🤣

What an honour it was to be nominated for spirit of the rally. Wow. It’s a prestigious award, peer nominated and your own buddy group can’t nominate you. Congratulations to all who were nominated and the winner Red Centre Legends in their smart car.

While Luke’s off fixing cars for people so they can get home I’m over getting everyone coffees. Cool little coffee shop across the road from our accomodation. Highly recommend a visit if you’re in the area!

Well let’s just say being back in civilisation is weird after a week in the outback but the shower was good and we no longer have to climb down on the ground for bed.

Today we travelled from Nindigully to the finish line on the Gold Coast. All sealed road but not without challenges - lots of winding roads and the dreaded traffic lights! We passed through Goondiwindi for fuel and Annabel drove from there until we had a lunch break in Warwick before Luke took us over the finish line around 4:40pm as tail end Charlie for Buddy group 29. It was a surreal experience having family at the finish line - it’s been a big week and Annabel got a bit emotional and cried as we passed over the finish.

What a fantastic rally it has been. 💙
