Emerald parkrun

Emerald parkrun Emerald parkrun is a free, timed, 5km run / walk put on by the community for the community at 7am every Saturday morning in Emerald, Central Queensland.

parkrun is a not-for-profit organisation established in the United Kingdom in 2004 to provide a free, weekly, timed 5km running event to every community that wants one. Events are organised by local volunteers with support from parkrun HQ. parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5km timed run, jog or walk. It can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of

a training plan. Emerald parkrun offers an opportunity for all members of our local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy our beautiful Botanical Gardens and get physically active in the process. We want to encourage people to walk, jog or run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE! Taking part is easy – just register in advance by 6pm on the Friday before your first ever parkrun event. The great thing is that you only ever need to do this once! Then just set your alarm for Saturday morning and get yourself there!

Thank you CHRC for the wonderful QLD Day breakfast. It was a chilly morning and it was great to have so many people enjoying parkrun and celebrating our wonderful State.

🎉🏃‍️Celebrate Queensland Day on Saturday! 🎉🏃‍

🏃‍️ This Saturday 6 June 2026, CHRC will be providing a free community BBQ at Emerald parkrun.

We’ll be starting at the windmill in the Emerald Botanic Gardens at 7.00 am. This is the alternate parkrun course while the new Nogoa River pedestrian bridge is built.

Wear your QLD colours and we’ll see you there!

CHRC is providing a BBQ breakfast at parkrun on Saturday.
A reminder that we are still using the alternate course at the Marathon Windmill, Rifle Range Road carpark entrance. Get there early to get a park. Alternate parking is available near the dog park and also at Riverview Road carpark.
As it’s Qld Day, try to wear something maroon.
