3184 Beach Patrol We are a local community group who care about keeping Elwood beaches and Port Phillip Bay free of rubbish.

The concept of the postcode-centric Beach Patrols to organise monthly community beach litter collections was founded with the 3206 Beach Patrol. This 3206 group has been running for many years now and has been very successful in engaging the Middle Park and Albert Park community in looking after their beach and heightening the visibility of the litter problem in our bay and on our beaches. This concept successfully spawned the 3207, 3182, 3186 and now the 3184 Beach Patrols. Concept –

The 3184 Beach Patrol will operate a litter collection on a given section of Elwood Beaches for one hour every month. All members of the Beach Patrol will wear green tee shirts bearing the 3184 Beach Patrol logo. This will draw in passers-by and beach users, highlighting the patrol’s presence and what is it doing. All litter collected will be weighed and then disposed of in the council provided beachside bins. The aim is to make this a social activity for all involved and all patrols will be followed by refreshment at a local cafe. Website: www.beachpatrol.com.au
