Friends of Karingal Yalloc

Friends of Karingal Yalloc Our challenge is to rehabilitate a small creek in North Eltham that feeds into the Diamond Creek. Karingal Yalloc means Happy Camping Creek.

Founded in 2002, our Friends group assists Nillumbik Shire Council and Melbourne Water in achieving a healthier waterway. Our activities include exotic plant removal, planting indigenous species grown locally, and site maintenance. We meet 10 times a year, usually on the last Sunday of the month, working from 10am to noon, with refreshments afterwards.
