League of Ancients The LEAGUE OF ANCIENTS is an organisation for members who enjoy tabletop wargaming with miniatures. New members and visitors are always welcome.

We play historical, fantasy and sci-fi games across multiple rule sets and periods. No experience required. The LEAGUE OF ANCIENTS is an organisation for members who enjoy historical wargaming with miniatures. We meet at the Caulfield RSL 4 St Georges Rd Elsternwick usually every third Sunday of the month. A great many Rules systems are used at the league, those currently popular include DBA, ALDG

, SAGA, DBR, FOGN, WoG, FOW and TY covering the periods from Ancient, Medieval, Renaissance, Napoleonics, the World Wars, Cold War and beyond! Another excellent Sunday spent tabletop wargaming at the League of Ancients in Melbourne. We had an Ancient & Medieval tournament running with 22 players, a beautiful Vietnam game, a WW2 Bolt Action game as well as a Crusader battle and several others. Combined with fine lunch from Caulfield RSL, is there a better way to spend your Sundays?

There was a great turnout at the League of Ancients Sunday meeting this weekend with 30 members and visitors coming to join in the different tabletop wargames being played. Games included Bolt Action WW2, Glory is Fleeting Napoleonic, ADLG Ancients and Medieval and also Black Seas Napoleonic naval games. Visitors of all ages are always welcome and no experience is required.

Attention LoA Members! The RSL has informed us they have a clash next weekend 17 August so they are going to give us the downstairs dining room for our meeting. We will still be able to access the storage room for boards and terrain, but it will involve a little more carrying. It will be like being back at the German club!

Members note the next meeting is scheduled for March 9 has been confirmed with the RSL. The next meeting dates after that are March 29 and 30 with the Glory Is Fleeting tournament.
