We're excited to announce that our Boys Cultural Program is returning on Monday 24 August at Marni Waiendi Community Centre, from 4:00pm to 5:30pm.
But that's not all!
❀️Following valuable feedback from our community, we're also launching a brand new Girls Group at the same location, date and time! ❀️

These groups provide a safe and welcoming space for young people to connect, learn, share culture, build friendships, enjoy activities and have a yarn.

🌟 Exciting News from Belonging in the North / Kawanta Pirku-itya 🌟

We’re excited to share that we have secured additional funding from the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing to continue delivering programs through Belonging in the North / Kawanta Pirku-itya.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our community feedback night or completed our survey. Your voices matter, and we have listened carefully to your ideas, experiences and suggestions. Your feedback is helping shape the future of our programs and services.

As part of this next phase, you’ll notice some changes, including:

πŸ–€ Age guidelines for some programs to ensure our young people have safe and appropriate spaces.

πŸ’› Continuing the programs you know and love, with some new structures to make participation easier and support the flow of activities.

❀️ The launch of our new Girls Group, creating a space for connection, culture, learning and fun.

πŸ–€ New opportunities for community to continue sharing feedback and helping shape our programs.

πŸ’› Nunga Basketball will now run weekly on Fridays from 4:00pm to 5:00pm during school terms.

🚘 ARE YOU AGED 16–35 AND NEED HELP GETTING YOUR LOGBOOK HOURS UP?

City of Playford’s Wheels in Motion program may be able to help!

The program is designed to support people who don’t have regular access to a suitable fully licensed driver. Participants can access supervised driving sessions to build confidence, gain valuable experience and work towards completing their logbook hours. πŸ™Œ

To be eligible, you must:
βœ… Live in the City of Playford
βœ… Be aged 16–35
βœ… Hold a current learner’s permit
βœ… Have completed at least 4 hours of driving lessons with a qualified driving instructor
βœ… Have completed less than 40 hours of supervised driving

πŸ’° 60-minute sessions are $17
πŸ’° 90-minute sessions are $25.50

πŸ“… Expressions of Interest open: Monday 10 August
πŸ“… EOIs close: Friday 28 August

πŸ“ Interested in applying?
