Wandiyali was established in 1997 to work with Koori youth. In 2000 The Hunter Koori Youth Service (HKYS) began operation working with 14yrs to 25 year olds (target age 14 -18years) that were homeless or at risk of homelessness. šŸ–¤šŸ’›ā¤ļø Indigenous Business Month | Ngaya Wellness ā¤ļøšŸ’›šŸ–¤

Wellness is more than taking a moment to pause, it’s about reconnecting with yourself, nurturing your wellbeing and creating space to feel grounded. 🌿

As we near the end of Indigenous Business Month, we want to celebrate Ngaya Wellness, a business bringing together massage, holistic treatments, and cultural connection to create a welcoming space where people can slow down, recharge and reconnect with themselves. šŸ–¤

Founded by Lara, Ngaya Wellness reflects a passion for bodywork, recovery, energy work, and culture, with a focus on making every experience personal. Even the name Ngaya, drawn from the Gamilaraay language, carries a beautiful meaning: ā€œIā€ or ā€œmyā€, my wellness.

Supporting Aboriginal-owned businesses like Ngaya Wellness is a way to recognise Aboriginal leadership, celebrate culture and invest in the people and communities who make our local business landscape stronger.

✨ This Indigenous Business Month, let’s make space for wellbeing, connection, and the continued growth of Aboriginal businesses.

šŸ–¤šŸ’›ā¤ļø Indigenous Business Month | One Mob One Tribe ā¤ļøšŸ’›šŸ–¤

Strong communities start with connection, culture and coming together. 🌿

This Indigenous Business Month, we’re celebrating Many Tribes One Mob and recognising the importance of Aboriginal-led businesses in creating spaces for connection, strengthening community and building a future grounded in culture and identity.

Supporting First Nations businesses is one way we can turn recognition into action, by investing in Aboriginal people, uplifting community voices and helping create opportunities for generations to come.

✨ This month is about celebrating more than business. It’s about connection, pride, empowerment and the strength of our people.

Let’s continue to show up, support and celebrate Aboriginal businesses, not just in October, but all year round.

The Murrook Festival 2026 will be here before we know it, so it’s a good idea to keep an eye on our website and social media for any important info you might need, like maps & logistics around parking etc.

What can you bring along on the evening?

It’s an ā€œalcohol-free eventā€ but, it’s OK to pack a picnic basket and bring a chair or a blanket to sit on? A personal supply of water, a hat and sunscreen and perhaps a jumper to put on when the sun goes down isn’t a bad idea either!

There will be food vendors with hot and cold options, as well as fairy floss and soft serve for you to feed the whole family.

More info COMING SOON!
