As first time exhibitors, we attended the Fleckvieh Feature Show at Farmfest, Kingsthorpe this past week. Our cattle did us proud with plenty of ribbons.

The first class was the Breeders Group wherein we won 3rd place in a heavy contested show of cattle.

Then Sire's Progeny was next. We went on to place 2nd with the same 3 animals as we had in our Breeders Group. Three Moon Colonel, Three Moon Phoebus and Three Moon Bonita who are sired by Karragarra Red Rooster.

Three Moon Colonel went on to place 5th in his class in the European Battle of the Bulls. Colonel will be offered for sale on the 29th August at the Eidsvold Simmental and Fleckvieh Sale.

Three Moon Bonita won 1st in her class and went on to placed 5th as well in her class in the European Fantastic Females.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to Melanie Sambrook-Webb for her very hard work behind the scenes, taking nominations, getting sponsors etc. We greatly appreciate what a great job you did.

A special thanks goes to our honorary 5th daughter, Sarah Horrocks for her excellent tutelage with clipping, washing and blowing and leading the cattle.

Pretty happy after having some success at our local shows over the last couple weekends.

A big thank you to our overjudge Graham Brown at Monto Show, there was a huge lineup of quality cattle. All of our bulls placed in their classes, two thirds and a first. We were very pleased with how our young team behaved, with 4 new ones having their first outing.

At Eidsvold Show, only a small number of exhibits but plenty of good cattle that made for some tough judging by Brad Hanson and associate, Annaka Hanson.
Extremely happy to have achieved:
Reserve Junior Champion Heifer with Three Moon Bonita
Senior Champion Bull with Three Moon Colonel
Junior Champion and Grand Bull with Three Moon Phoebus. They are all sired by Karragarra Red Rooster along with 4 others on the team.

Some of our Autumn drop of calves sired by Karragarra Red Rooster, purchased in 2021.
We love the progeny we are getting from him and feel they are getting better every year.
The second photo is Cania Gold Blossom who was in the first mob of Fleckvieh females we purchased in 2015 from Russell Nowland.
Those cows were the foundation of our stud and we now have close to 150 females just like these.

We are very happy after a successful day at Gayndah Show. Took a fresh team of eight with five of them getting a place in their class and one of our young bulls achieving Supreme Exhibit of the show.

Our Supreme Exhibit, Three Moon Phoebus (De) is sired by Karragarra Red Rooster (Woonallee Los Angeles) and out of Three Moon Esmeralda (out of Tennysonvale Proven). At only 10 months old he won his class of Bulls under 12 months, to then attain Junior Champion and Grand Champion Male.

A big thank you to the overjudge Esther Ruffo of Thommo Droughtmasters for her judgement and comments on our cattle.

Congratulations to all other exhibitors for presenting an impressive line-up.

Cattle all ready for their first show of the year. Gayndah Show April 11th. It should be a good day as there are lots of good cattle here.

We would like to thank everyone involved in the 2025 Eidsvold Simmental and Fleckvieh Sale. We were pleased to see that it was well supported, and the camaraderie amongst our fellow vendors made the day run smoothly.

Our draft of 16 bulls all sold for a pleasing average of $8,125. We had a top of $15,000 for Lot 27 Three Moon Firecracker going to longtime supporters, The Smith Family of Abercorn Pastoral.

These three bulls are the first progeny offered by Karragarra Road Runner and have all inherited his sleek tropical coat which is great for the Queensland climate.

These four young bulls are our first offering sired by Karragarra Red Rooster.

Karragarra Red Rooster was sired by Woonallee Los Angeles (Australian record price Simmental bull) and has been producing calves with a high percentage of eye pigment, which is beneficial for Queensland conditions.

Since his purchase in 2022, we've been very pleased with the consistency of his progeny.
