Congratulations Pastor Ian - we love what you bring to both football and the Village!

Happy 96th Birthday to what we believe to be Sturt Football Club's oldest past player, Ian Kleinig.

Ian will be celebrating his birthday all week with family and friends. He told us that he cannot wait for the football to start so as he can watch his beloved Double Blues from the new seats in the McKay Grandstand. He is also keen to see Marty Mattner back coaching.

Ian made his debut in the Preliminary Final of the 1944 season as player #450

The State Government has implemented a six-day ‘circuit-breaker’ set of restrictions to control the current cluster of COVID-19 from escalating further. Everyone is advised to follow this directive to stay at home over the next six days from midnight tonight.

We have asked residents to cease all non-essential visits and residents are asked to remain onsite and not go out until further notice.

Visiting
Independent Living Units - please restrict non-essential visits until further notice.

Serviced Apartments - visitors are limited to essential visits only by immediate family members (18+) and home care workers. For deliveries, please ring the bell and staff will meet you outside to take deliveries directly to residents eg shopping.

Activities
All activities are suspended, including the pool.

Our board and staff continue to receive advice from the Department of Health, SA Health, Office for Ageing Well, and our peak bodies.

Visiting
Independent Living Units - please restrict non-essential visits until further notice. If you do need to visit, please ensure excellent hand washing and physical distancing (1.5 metres).

Serviced Apartments - visitors are limited to immediate family members (18+) and home care workers only. Please ensure you continue to only enter and exit via the main door and sign the book. For deliveries, please ring the bell and staff will meet you outside to take deliveries directly to residents.

All 'essential visitors' to Trinity Place - please do not come onsite if you or your family members:

- are feeling at all unwell, or
- have been in contact with others who are now unwell.

Activities
Our resident activity coordinators in conjunction with Trinity Place have suspended all group activities until further notice. While the pool is available to residents only for recreational use, the change rooms are closed.

A very informative information session was held this afternoon with special guests Clare, Meg, and Rachel from Pasadena Medical.

Thank you for your generous time in telling us about health related emergencies such as Heart Attacks and Strokes. Your education and advice on what they are, and how to prevent them, was very helpful.

The most important piece of advice we heard? Don't wait... if in doubt, call an ambulance!

And we're back!

Another lovely afternoon where our Social Club enjoyed a lovely physically distanced BBQ lunch followed by the Melbourne Cup.

Congratulations to our fascinator winners Frances, Barbara and especially Shirley for the second year running!

Shout out to the two slightly dodgy characters who snuck in for an honorable mention!
