ART COMP IS BACK FOR 2026 🎨 You may have seen these flyers and posters around our Valley and yes you guessed it after last year’s efforts we thought it we would host this comp again! This year we have more participating schools, we’ve taken our entry forms online and ALOT of support from our local businesses with prizes - the Penguins can’t thank you enough!

So, if you want to get involved head to our website for the details on how to enter but in a nutshell the kids need to PAINT, COLLAGE OR DRAW Little Penguins & their environment! 🐧☀️🏝️The parents or guardians need to fill out our online entry form and drop the artwork off at Eden or Tura Library (make sure the artwork has your kids name and age on it), participating schools check the website for the details! Link in bio!

🐧 Penguin Awareness Day 🐧

Today we celebrate one of the most loved — and most impressive — birds on the planet. Penguins may not fly through the sky, but they soar through the ocean, using powerful flippers and streamlined bodies to become expert swimmers and deep divers.

These remarkable birds spend most of their lives at sea, can stay underwater for long periods, and rely on clever adaptations like countershading to stay safe from predators.

Penguin Awareness Day is a reminder of how unique they are — and why protecting their habitats matters more than ever. 🌊❄️

Let’s learn, share, and help ensure penguins continue to thrive for generations to come.

Community outreach at Eden’s Whale Festival sharing a stall with NPWS and the team, our lovely volunteers had a fun day sharing fun facts about our LP’s and a penguin suit to boot. Thanks to everyone who came down! 🐧

AWARDS CEREMONY 🐧 With over 80 ENTRIES (can you believe it!!) we will be hosting an Awards Ceremony for our Kids Art Competition at the Eden Log Cabin this Saturday 30th August. Opening at 1pm for viewing and announcing the winners at 2pm.

Awards will be presented by Councillor Clair Mudaliar, we feel very special. ✨✨
