Girls on the Rize has a very important project happening right now, and we are currently working hard behind the scenes on our upcoming Hub Launch 💛

We are reaching out to our amazing community to see if anyone has any items they would be willing to donate to help us create a safe, welcoming and therapeutic space for young people.

We are currently looking for:
• Plaster sheets
• Paint (any colours – especially whites, pastels & bright colours)
• Large floor mats/rugs
• MDF panels
• Kitchen bench/sink items
• Office furniture
• Small couches
• Bean bags/floor cushions
• Storage items
• Arts & craft storage/supplies

Any support, big or small, would be so greatly appreciated and will go towards helping us build a space that supports and empowers vulnerable young people in our community.

If you have anything available, please comment below or send us a DM

🚨 REMINDER 🚨 Too many times when working with young people, we see girls caught off guard during that time of the month because they simply haven’t been prepared or taught to keep a small “care pack” in their school bag or outings bag.

In the world we live in, kids can sometimes be cruel and the last thing our young girls need is the embarrassment or stress of having an accident in public.

A simple conversation and a small care pack with things like pads, spare underwear, wipes and deodorant can make such a big difference to a young person’s confidence and comfort.

This is your reminder to have that conversation with your daughter, niece, granddaughter, foster child, participant or any young person in your care 💛

Preparation creates confidence.

Sometimes at Girls on the Rize, life gets busy and lunch needs to happen on the go 💛

Today’s lunch was a Caesar salad wrap with fresh salad wraps and yummy KFC chicken strips 🌯🥗🍗

Quick, easy, filling and a healthier option while out in the community.

We love teaching our young people that healthy eating doesn’t have to be perfect, it’s about balance, convenience and making better choices in real life situations
