🚨 PLAYGROUND EMERGENCY! (WE REPEAT: THE SLIDE IS NOT OKAY.) 🚨

Here at Carson Street School, our playground has officially reached its "I've fallen and I can't get up" era.

The soft fall is about as soft as stepping on LEGO. The shade sails provide roughly the same protection as standing behind a lamppost. And the slide? Well... it now squeaks in a pitch that sounds suspiciously like a tiny cry for help.

If playgrounds could talk, ours would be muttering, "I'm too old for this," every time a child climbed aboard.

That's why we're hosting a Quiz Night on Saturday, 5th September 2026 to raise funds and give our playground the glow-up it desperately deserves. But we need your help!

We're looking for raffle and auction prizes. Got a spare yacht? A life-size cardboard cut-out of Chris Hemsworth? A framed portrait of your dog dressed as a lawyer? Excellent. We'll find a way to auction it.

Every donation helps us create a safe, inclusive and seriously fun play space for our students with disabilities, because our current playground has been through a lot. Frankly, if playgrounds had therapists, ours would have a standing weekly appointment.

As a thank you, we'll give your business the kind of social media attention usually reserved for surprise puppy videos, celebrity mishaps and babies laughing at absolutely nothing. Just send your logo (JPEG preferred) to [email protected].

Interested in sponsorship opportunities? Have a creative idea for a collaboration? We'd love to hear it.

And yes, we also accept bribes in the form of coffee and baked goods.

This gives us enough time to prepare for an unforgettable night of trivia, laughter and team names that should probably have stayed in the group chat. (Looking at you, Smarty Pints and Let's Get Quizzical.)

Now that the school holidays have ended, our school food pantry is looking a bit empty. We’re reaching out to ask for support for families in need within our community.

If you’re able to donate any food items, we would be incredibly grateful. Donations can be placed in the large tub at reception. Please see the flyer below for examples of needed items.

We’re excited to welcome all of our families back tomorrow as Term 2 begins.

Tomorrow is our annual Fun Day! The weather is looking to be dry and sunny for us, which is fantastic for all of the fun that will be had 🌞🌈

There will be a sausage sizzle and pancakes available for purchase. Tickets for these can be purchased at the front office. We’ll be accepting both cash and card.

Tickets are available for our Easter raffle also. The raffle will be drawn tomorrow at the conclusion of the Fun Day.
