A little goodbye to Martina🌻

If you've been following us for awhile now - you'll likely know Martina as one of the people behind so much of our learning at the Farm - sharing her knowledge of sustainability, permaculture and all the small ways we can live more thoughtfully.

As the person leading our Education Department, Martina truly lives and breathes the ethics of permaculture, with a deep belief that everyone should have the opportunity to learn how to live more sustainably, no matter where they are starting from.

You will be very missed, Martina! How special for us to have your knowledge, skills and passion as part of Perth City Farm. Thank you for everything you've given to the Farm and our community 🌸

We hope to see you visit us again for morning tea under the trees!🌿

This one's for the busy mums🌷

No sourdough starter, no fancy equipment in our Simple Bread Making workshop next Tuesday. Drop off the kids at school and enjoy the morning with us.

Join Denise in learning how to make three useful breads in our two hour workshop:
- Seeded oat bread
- Focaccia
- Flatbread

Everything is provided - all ingredients, materials and hands-on teaching throughout. You'll even take home your own focaccia dough ready to bake.

The perfect thing to whip up during a weekday dinner and leftovers for breakfast!

Big thank you to our volunteer, Gary!🌻

We are so lucky to have the wonderful volunteers that come through our Farm gates - and Gary is certainly one we will sad to say goodbye to!

Over the past few months, Gary was familiar face in the gardens and helping guide at our Saturday Farmer's Market.

We loved hearing about all the places Gary explored in Perth and find a little community here during his time in the city.

Join us for Drag Me to Gnocchi, a hands-on Pride night filled with fresh gnocchi, drag, comedy and live performance.

✨Kick off the evening with Marco, who will teach you how to make fresh gnocchi from scratch
✨Roll it and shape it (questionably) and hand it over to us
✨While dinner is cooking, Fay Rocious will bring the drag
✨The evening will be hosted by Courtney Maldo and dance performance from Outdance Perth WA

This will not be a quiet night so come hungry and ready to laugh!

Meet Dean from Dean's Bees - architect by week, beekeeper by happy accident. Over 13 years ago, Dean found a swarm of bees in his backyard and now, he is a beloved stallholder of our Saturdays Farmers Market - providing delicious local honey.

Next Saturday, Dean is running an intermediate beekeeping workshop - a hands-on class and a chance to harvest Perth City Farm honey yourself. If bees have ever fascinated you, come and join us.
