Attention!! Very heavy rainfall associated with severe storms is closing in on the coast anywhere in the orange circle is at great risk of flash flooding this evening particularly with any severe storms that move over your suburb most of these storms are doing what many people call a rain train affect meaning loads of rain falling over one area in a short period of time that’s non stop. Please be very careful on the roads this evening it’s looking pretty dangerous the way things are setup. Anyone in the yellow circle has still the potential to see severe storms.

If storms can manage to form before the SE wind change this afternoon storms will become very dangerous very quickly and will most likely be forming in the south/ southwest and will more then likely be moving north to northeast. Please keep an eye out and keep up to date on www.bom.gov.au these storms have had a history of producing the worst storms we have ever seen across SEQ!

Heads up for SATURDAY!! Anywhere from about Bundaberg to Tweed Heads including Brisbane and the Gold Coast please be aware of widespread severe storms tomorrow afternoon some of them could become very dangerous in some locations but not all!!

I’m very concerned for these areas, Ipswich, Logan city , Scenic Rim Brisbane and the Gold Coast city council areas in particular with LARGE to GIANT HAIL and DESTRUCTIVE WIND GUSTS being the main threat, I don’t think flash flooding will be to much of an issue tomorrow afternoon with a southeasterly wind change moving up the coast so it will be moving the storms very quickly and won’t allow them to sit over areas for to long. If you are in any of these particular council areas I have just mentioned please make sure all cars are parked undercover and away from trees and tie down any loose items that could become flying missiles!

Happy Easter to all of you hope you have a great time with family and friends 🐣💕!!

As some of you may have already heard a lot of rain is on the way for CQLD, Wide bay and Burnett, SEQ and possibly NE NSW. A deepening trough system and hybrid low off the coast will approach near Agnes water/ Fraser Island extending down to Bundaberg and Maroochydore tomorrow afternoon depending where this hybrid low/ Trough system lies will determine who gets the heaviest rainfall and damaging winds 90km/h+. It’s very hard to pin point exactly who will get the heaviest rain tomorrow afternoon and into the evening but anyone from about Agnes water to Maroochydore please be prepared it could get nasty rain rates between 250mm/600mm is possible in those areas DEPENDENT on the movement of this system

Its really one of those systems where it’s a wait and see situation but most weather models are coming on board that this system will head further south into Brisbane, Gold Coast and then possibly northeast NSW during Easter Monday and Tuesday. Falls between 100-500mm is possibly with heavier falls more frequent around coastal areas again DEPENDENT on the movement of this system. Just wanted to add most river catchments are still recovering from the last flood we had so it’s not going to take much to refill. A Flood Watch is current for coastal catchments between St Lawrence and the Queensland - New South Wales border extending inland to the Darling Downs

Will give more updates when necessary!!

LIFE threatening flooding possible for the Logan and Gold Coast areas!! A number of storm cells have combined together to create a supper storm cell this storm in particular is very dangerous and slow moving 500mm+ is likely for areas from about Brisbane to Coolangatta. It would not surprise me if the Logan and Albert river bursts it’s banks due to the excess of rainfall that has already fallen this is very serious. Please keep up to date via

⚠️ ATTENTION SEQ!! PLEASE SHARE WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS!! THIS IS SERIOUS!! AND COULD BE LIFE THREATENING ⚠️

A dangerous weather situation is unfolding! Currently a low pressure system is developing east of Fraser Island, It is expected to approach the coast later this afternoon into the evening as it does so Very heavy rainfall will move in from the ocean it’s not good at all as Springbrook west of the Gold Coast has already received half a meter of rain (500MM), Areas further north like Brisbane Logan, parts of the Sunshine Coast will be affected severely tonight especially as that low approaches very close to the coast, 300mm+ is possible with already the added rainfall that has fallen, Destructive and damaging winds will also be an issue tonight bringing down power lines and trees and possibly cutting out power to many areas. Please if it’s flooded forget it. A minor flood warning has already been issued for the Logan and Albert river. please stay safe guys.

ATTENTION!!!! 🔊🔊🔊 If you’re intending to vote today please vote nice and early cause during the afternoon and evening we a likely to be hammered by severe and possibly dangerous supercell storms. A trough system approaching from the west should start to trigger severe storms early this afternoon around lunchtime they should form very quickly and become very dangerous the bureau of meteorology is saying that Giant hail (10>cm+) Destructive winds of up to (150km/ph+) is possible!! INSANE!! I don’t think heavy rainfall and flash flooding will be and issue this afternoon given the nature/ development of these thunderstorms. All the ingredients are there to produce some of the biggest/wildest storms we have seen here in SEQ! for a long time. Now would be a good time to clean your gutters and tie down loose items that could become flying missiles if you haven’t done so. Please stay safe everyone and never park your car under a tree.
