Kingaroy has some very generous and caring women.
Just last week, while loading the Sanctuary's groceries in to the Wildlife ambulance, I see a lady holding a baby in her arm, walking towards me waving something in her hand.
She doesn't say a word, just hands me some money, then as she walks away ( I am saying Thank you, but why) she replies I like what you do with the dingoes.
I'm just standing there, kinda stunned, wow.
Then today , I'm in Woolies, getting more food for the animals, the check out guys asks me " Got a rewards card, I said no, just money to pay you.
I ask how much, and just as he is about to tell me, the lady behind me reaches across and touches something ???
the the guy said " Oh you have $10 off".
I said I didn't understand, he points to the lady and she says, " You said you didn't have a Rewards Card, I do, so I can."
I said " But why" ? ( Cos I don't even know her).
JUst cos I can, she says.
I'm kinda choking up, trying to say thank you, wondering why I am getting a tad emotional, and she's just looking at me with a big smile on her face.
Again I said thankyou and all this food is for the animals in my Sanctuary.
I then head over to Harvey Norman, as I need to buy that Revitive foot massager, cos due to the Peripheral Neuropathy I have, it is very painful walking, and the medication doesn't seem to work.
So I ask for assistance at the counter, and this young lady with a beaming smile says " Just follow me , and I'll show you it"
As it turns out , it was the last one there, then she asks for my phone number, my previous purchases pop up on the screen, then she gives me a discount of $30.
Strewth, my days was just getting better by the hour.
I really hope this machine works.
