To our beautiful community💚,

I want to take a moment to explain why I shared my previous message and to say thank you.

My intention was to bring our community together, to create understanding, compassion, and support during an incredibly difficult time.

The response has shown that we have not created division, we have created strength.

We have seen people come together and use their voices positively for what truly matters.
We are all sitting with so much emotion, sadness, anger, and uncertainty surrounding this situation.
I understand the hurt and the need for answers.
These feelings come from wanting to protect our children and support those who have been affected.

The reason I felt it was important to share my message was to remind us all of the power and impact our words can have, especially on social media.

Words matter.
Posts matter.
Comments matter.

While the actions of an individual can cause unimaginable pain, we must also remember there are many innocent people now carrying the weight of this situation, children, families, educators, childcare teams, and owners who are navigating fear, heartbreak, and uncertainty.

Accountability and responsibility are essential.

The safety and wellbeing of our children must always come first.
But compassion must also remain at the centre of how we treat others who are affected.

Before we post, comment, or share, let us remember that behind every screen is a person.
Our words can impact mental health, families, and people who may already be struggling in ways we cannot see.
This is not about silencing anyone’s feelings.
It is about recognising that we can stand strongly for what is right while still choosing kindness, respect, and humanity.

Thank you to everyone who has used their voice positively, shown compassion, and supported what truly matters and the safety of our children and the strength of our community.

Let us continue to stand together, support one another, and choose kindness.

With gratitude,
Diana

To all our communities, our families, our children, and everyone who is suffering because of the actions of another person

Tonight I write this as a member of our community, someone who cares deeply for, nurtures, loves, and protects those who are struggling.
I understand there is a great deal of pain, fear, anger, and heartbreak being felt by families following the allegations of inappropriate and unacceptable behaviour by an individual across multiple childcare centres.

First and foremost, our children’s safety and wellbeing must always come first.

The actions of any person who harms or puts children at risk are completely unacceptable, and our thoughts remain with all children and families affected.

At the same time, I ask our community to remember that many childcare owners, educators, and staff are also experiencing immense distress during this time.

These are people who have dedicated themselves to creating safe, caring, and nurturing environments for children every day.

As parents, guardians, and educators, we all want the very best for our children.

We want them to be safe and protected, however no person can be present every minute of every day or know the actions of another individual at all times.

We must allow the appropriate processes to take place while showing compassion and understanding for everyone impacted.

This is a time when our community needs kindness, dignity, and support , not division.
Please be mindful of the words we share publicly and remember that many people are hurting.

Let us stand together, protect our children, support the families affected, and also show compassion to those who are working through this incredibly difficult situation.

Take care of each other.
Love each other.
Nurture each other.

Let us come together as a community and not allow one person’s actions to turn us against one another.

Struggle to Strength
