🏀 T3 WEEK 5 TRAINEES OF THE WEEK 🏀

This week, these players brought the energy, intensity, and competitiveness every time they stepped on the court! 🏀🔥

Kudos to Rhys, Mikhail, Kedrick, Paul, Aidan, Jacob & Millie for showing plenty of willpower, physicality and grit throughout the session. 💪

They competed for every drill, every possession and every opportunity — pushing themselves and each other to get better.

This is the kind of attitude we love to see at training. Skills can be developed, but the desire to compete, fight through challenges and keep going is what separates good players from great ones. 👊🏀

🏀🔥 REP SEASON COMPLETE — AND WHAT A SEASON IT HAS BEEN! 🔥🏀

A huge congratulations to our Maharlika players who have completed their Representative season with PCBA Chargers and Inner West Bulls! 👏🏽

We couldn’t be prouder of this group — not just for what they achieved on the scoreboard, but for the way they showed up, showed out and competed every single game. 💪🏽

And a special shoutout to our award recipients:

🏆 Jamari Heyden — Outstanding Achievement Award – BNSW Pathways
🏆 Liam Alim — Most Valuable Player

These awards are a reflection of the work, commitment and character these boys have shown throughout the season.

For most of them, this was their first year playing Representative basketball — stepping into a higher level, learning what it takes, adjusting to new expectations and continuing to grow game by game.

They have been reliable teammates, hard workers and willing learners, and it has been incredible to see their development from where they started to where they are now. ❤️🏀

We are incredibly proud that Maharlika Bears has been part of their journey and development leading up to their reps selection, and even prouder to see them take that next step and make their mark.

This is only the beginning.

They’re coming back next season — bigger, stronger, hungrier and more experienced.
And trust us…

Big shoutout to Nino, Harvey, Noah, Jacob & Grace! 👏🔥The little things, the extra effort, and the energy you brought to every drill made a BIG difference! 💪🏀

These five brought great effort, contagious energy and a willingness to work throughout the entire session. 💪🏀

What stood out wasn’t just their effort, it was the energy, competitiveness and physicality they brought throughout the entire session. From strength and conditioning drills to battling for rebounds, they continued to use their bodies, stay engaged and compete every possession.

We love seeing our players work hard, compete hard and enjoy the process. The energy you bring to training lifts everyone around you!

🏀 A PROUD SEASON FOR OUR MAHARLIKA BEARS WITH HILLS HORNETS! 🐻🩵

What a way to wrap up the 2026 MJL Basketball Representative Season!

We are incredibly proud of our 12 Maharlika Bears players — 11 boys and 1 girl, all born in 2014 — who have just completed their Representative Season with Hills Hornets.

We couldn’t be prouder to see them take what they learn and develop with our club into the representative environment.

👏 A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO THE AWARDEES:

🏆 Pierre Inigo Hermosura — Most Consistent Player
🏆 Matvey Kyle Batugedara — Hustle Award

These awards are fantastic recognition of the qualities we strive to develop at Maharlika Bears — hard work, consistency, resilience, commitment, teamwork and a willingness to keep learning.

We’re equally proud of all 12 players. Every one of them has grown throughout the season, and their journey doesn’t stop here. 💪

🔥 2027 is going to be a big year. All 12 players have an opportunity to return as top-age U14s, giving them another year to build on their experience, sharpen their skills, develop their basketball IQ and take on greater responsibility.

This group is a testament to what can happen when talented young athletes have a strong development environment around them — quality coaching at Maharlika Bears, the opportunity to represent the club at various competitions, supportive families and a community that believes in their potential.

To our players: be proud of what you’ve achieved, but don’t be satisfied.

Take the lessons from 2026.
