Dunolly Community Thrift Shop Are a local, volunteer-run, not for profit Community Thrift Shop which opened on 1st May 2026. We offer affordable pre-loved goods.

We focus on reducing waste, keeping items out of landfill and giving back to Dunolly by supporting local initiatives.

‼️Before we go any further, if you know someone who loves a bargain, please share this post and help spread the word. We had a few customers who didn’t even realise the sale was on!

Let’s just say they were pleased at the total. 🏷️🏷️

Friday and Saturday were incredibly busy at the shop, with a steady stream of customers through the doors and the counter piled high with purchases.
It was wonderful to see so many people finding bargains and leaving with a smile.

The good news? There are still plenty of bargains waiting to be discovered, so we’re extending the sale for this week.

This vintage Peter Transistor wall clock has been keeping time for us in the shop, but with so much stock arriving, we’ve decided it’s time for it to find a new home.

Featuring its Peter Transistor branded movement, decorative metal scrollwork and classic 1960s–70s styling, it’s both a practical clock and a great vintage décor piece.

So this week, all cookbooks are HALF PRICE whilst stocks last.

From baking and family favourites to country cooking and everything in between, there are plenty to choose from.

📖 While you’re browsing, don’t forget that our children’s books are always FREE. We believe encouraging a love of reading is one of the best gifts we can give our young readers.📚

‼️A reminder also to keep an eye out for our Random Half Price Rack. Each week our volunteers select clothing items to move onto the rack at half the marked price.👚👖👗🩳

That’s a wrap for this week! 😊

We are now closed and will reopen on Tuesday at 9am.

📣📣Starting next week, keep an eye out for our new Half Price Rack.
Each week our volunteers will select clothing items to move onto the rack, helping us make room for the many donations coming through the door.

There is no designated day and no advance announcements – the only way to know what’s on the rack is to pop in and have a look.

You never know what bargain you might find!

It has come to the attention of the Crown that a large collection of motoring magazines has remained at Dunolly Community Thrift Shop since opening day.

After more than a month of loyal service on our shelves, His Majesty has issued a simple instruction: “They must find new homes.”

To assist with this royal directive, we’ve brought them all together into one display for the King’s Birthday weekend.

One month ago yesterday, Dunolly Community Thrift Shop opened its doors for the very first time.🎉🎈

What a month it has been.

We’ve welcomed customers from near and far, received some wonderful donations, found new homes for countless treasures, and shared plenty of conversations, laughs and stories along the way.

As a community-run shop, none of this would be possible without the support of our customers, donors and volunteers.👏

To everyone who has visited, donated, purchased, shared a post, or simply stopped in for a chat… thank you.

We look forward to seeing what the next month brings.👀

In the meantime, our newest oversized visitor appears to have made himself quite at home.

Just a reminder that we are closed on Wednesdays and will reopen on Thursday.
