Well done ladies!

Today as the second step to our Rural Women’s Fi***rm Safety program, we helped 5 women complete their accredited NSW Fi***rms Safety Training Course. We were able to contribute to the cost and bring the ladies together in a welcoming and supported space.

Thank you Peter Tremble for facilitating the comprehensive training and the Mendooran Clay Target Club for your ongoing partnership and hospitality.

Joey it was lovely to have you there today along side the ladies, upgrading from your minors to a full licence. Well done mate.

Yesterday we partnered with the Central West Local Land Services for a Cobbora Conservation Reserve Bird Walk & Talk with special guest Dr Ross Crates senior ecologist of Difficult Bird Research Group at the ANU Fenner School of Environment and Society. On our walk we noted over 35 different species. Dr Crates shared his knowledge and passion of working with his team to protect and restore the numbers of the critically endangered Regent Honeyeater. We also discussed the inland Glossy Black Cockatoo and what we can do to help protect these precious birds.

This morning in support of ‘World Rivers Day’ (this Sunday) we implemented a strategic riparian tree planting surrounding the Cobbora Lagoon. This planting project is in partnership with OzFish. Thank you Sean for your support. With still more trees and shrubs to plant in the coming weeks we hope to restore greater biodiversity and rehydrate the surrounding area, bringing more wildlife back to this beautiful and special inland water way.
