Water 4 Nepal

100% of the money donated to 'Water 4 Nepal' goes to providing and maintaining water pumps to the remote villages of Nepal. At this moment mainly in the Terai regions . These pumps are the number one need of the villages...Without them, they have to walk one kilometre every day just to get usable water. And no one cares or looks after these people. They live off of $2 a day for a whole family. That's why having a water pump near their house is a dream for them. Nepal is one of the poorest countries in the world. The government doesn't fund the villages. They earn approx Aud 2 a day, working 10 hours a day, for the entire family to feed. The men work in the field or just cheap labour jobs, the women work in the fields. They don't have enough money to put their children through school. They never own a camera or have Photos of themselves, or a mirror or toys. Since this charity has been established, there has been a long waiting list of Water pumps. They would never ever imagined that they would have the water pumps next to where they live. It is like the heavens had answered. Established on : 26th of March 2011
