Dubbo Disc Golf Course Update 🥏
The Dubbo Disc Golf Course has been in a stage of transition after several holes were affected by a new path rerouting due to erosion along the Macquarie River.
We’ve completed a course redesign and are now in the process of moving the layout across. A big thank you to Dubbo Regional Council, who are supporting us with the relocation of baskets and tee positions.
***What’s happening next?***
Our goal is to install concrete tee pads and permanent signage across the course. To make this happen, we’ll need to raise funds to cover the costs. More information on fundraising will be shared soon.
👉 If you’re a local business interested in sponsoring a hole (or two), please get in touch with us.
Costs are currently being finalised, and sponsors will be recognised on the hole signage with their business name and logo.
Current course status (Interim Layout)
-The course has now moved to its interim layout
-Holes 14 and 15 currently do not have baskets
-10's basket is yet to be moved so is currently playing longer
-The remaining 16 holes are playable
-All updates have been reflected on UDisc
If you’re not familiar with UDisc, it’s a disc golf scoring and navigation app that makes it easy to find tees and baskets on the course.
How to navigate the changes:
-New or moved tees are marked with pavers in the ground showing the hole number
-Existing holes that haven’t changed have had their numbers updated on the blue poles
-The grey posts for the beginner course and most of the blue posts are currently not relevant to the interim layout and have been clearly marked N/A
What’s coming 👀
Get excited for a new and improved course layout, complete with concrete tee pads and professional signage, coming soon!
Thanks for your patience and support as we build something better for the Dubbo disc golf community 🙌
