Dubbo WFD Project Dubbo WFD (Work for the Dole) Project is for the unemployed to help their local community and raise donations to help those in need

Work for the Dole is an Australian Government initiative that commenced on the 1st July 2015. The government is sponsoring Not for Profit community based organisations to run group activities that benefit our community and in turn, provides our unemployed jobseekers receiving welfare payments to gain on the job work like skills, confidence and direction to enable the jobseeker to find, commence and keep sustainable employment. In turn, allowing participants to move off welfare payments.

It comes with great sadness that we let you know our project has come to an end. :'-(

The past 6 months have gone so quickly and we have had some massive achievements in that time.

Not only have our participants worked hard to create their items, we have learnt to work as a team, build each other up and celebrate even the smallest of success.

We want to thank not only the participants but, also the local community that supported us during this time.

Hope everyone manages to find employment soon take care.

DONT FORGET OUR MARKET DAY IS BEING HELD NEXT MONDAY THE 19th AT 3 HOPKINS PARADE DUBBO. 9:30AM - 2PM!!!! FREE SAUSAGE SIZZLE. COME ALONG AND GRAB A BARGAIN, LOTS OF HANDMADE FURNITURE, CUSHIONS, SIGNS AND MUCH MUCH MORE!! BRING THE KIDS ALONG, THERE WILL BE FACE PAINTING, POPCORN CUPS, LOLLY GUESSING COMP. ALL FUNDS MADE GO TO CHARITY.
