Thank you to all our members and guests who braved the cold morning to attend our first business breakfast of 2026, sponsored by Boyce.

There were some great discussions about:-
1. Payday super
2. Difficulties small businesses are facing in our region
3. Federal Budget and how it may impact regional small business and agribusinesses (particularly with proposed changes to CGT and discretionary trusts).

The key take aways from Boyce:-
1 Get prepared for pay day super NOW.
2. Understand your numbers and business structure.
3. Let’s not panic about proposed budget changes yet. Focus on what you can control. Talk to advisors and understand your options but until we see the actual legislation- don’t make any reactive decisions out of fear/speculation.
