🚦 Road Safety Reminder 🚦

Every journey matters, whether you are walking, cycling, driving, or travelling with your family.

As members of our community, we all play an important role in keeping our roads safe. Taking a few extra moments to make safe choices can help prevent serious injuries and save lives.

Remember to:

βœ… Use pedestrian crossings whenever possible and stay alert when crossing roads.
βœ… Ensure children are correctly secured in an appropriate child restraint or booster seat.
βœ… Never use a mobile phone while driving.
βœ… Take regular breaks and avoid driving when tired.
βœ… Wear a helmet when riding a bicycle and follow shared path rules.
βœ… Use reflective or high-visibility clothing to help others see you, especially at dawn, dusk, and night.
βœ… Be patient, respectful, and aware of all road users.

Road safety is everyone's responsibility. By making safe decisions every day, we can help create safer roads, safer pathways, and a stronger community for all.

This road safety reminder is proudly supported by Transport for NSW through the Community Road Safety Grant Program and delivered by NSW Central West Muslims Association Incorporated (NSWCWMA).

SHARED PATH, CYCLING & E-SCOOTER SAFETY

Shared paths are for everyone β€” walkers, cyclists, families, children and e-scooter riders. By following simple safety rules, we can create safer and more respectful public spaces for the whole community.

Safety Tips for Riders & Pedestrians:

βœ” Keep left on shared paths
βœ” Give way to pedestrians
βœ” Use a bell or call out before passing
βœ” Wear an approved helmet every ride
βœ” Use lights and bright clothing at night
βœ” Slow down near children, pets and crowded areas
βœ” Follow NSW rules for bicycles and e-scooters

Being visible, patient and respectful helps prevent accidents and keeps everyone safe.

This community safety project is proudly supported by Transport for NSW and organised and delivered by NSW Central West Muslims Association Incorporated.
