Today was the 2/24th Battalion Association Pilgrimage Service at The Shrine of Remembrance.
The Service was attended by 30 people associated with the 2-24th. A most pleasing result. In addition we had 5 family apologies.
Thank you to Committee Member Russell Edwards (son of EK Edwards VX31279) for acting as MC, Committee Member Alastair Davison (son of JL Davison VX3161) for assisting with planning of the event and Shirley Drayton (Daughter of GA Stewart VX23015) who laid a wreath on behalf of the Battalion Association.
A special welcome is made to the Nephew, Grand Nephews/ Nieces of AH (Sam) Fry VX31573 who attended. It was great to meet and chat with you.

Ninth Division Wreath Laying Ceremony with Scotch College

The Annual Service for soldiers of the Ninth Division, which includes the 2/24, will be held on Friday, 25 October 2024 from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.

You are invited to come to honour the service and sacrifice of the men of the Magnificent 9th .

2/24 Battalion Pilgrimage to Shrine of Remembrance

Sunday 20 October 2024. Service is in the Sanctuary, commencing at 12.00pm (noon).

Please join us as we remember the service and sacrifice of the men of the 2/24 who served in North Africa and the Middle East, and then in the Pacific. If you have never been to one of these services, or haven’t attended for some time, please think about joining us to remember the 2/24 Battalion and those who served in the Battalion over four theatres of war.

Annual Wangaratta Reunion 9 & 10 November 2024

Saturday Formal Reunion Dinner- be ready at the RSL for a 6.30pm start.
Sunday 2/24th Service at Memorial Wall Precinct Wangaratta Lawn Cemetery at 11.00am followed by a light luncheon.

It is essential to book for both functions so we know the numbers for catering at both activities. The only charge is for the Saturday Night Dinner- $50.00 per person. Registration for Sunday is for catering numbers only.
