What a wonderful day celebrating 100 years of Girl Guides in Drouin! 💙💛

Our community came together on Saturday to honour a century of friendship, leadership, and adventure. It was fantastic to welcome past and present members, families, and supporters to share in such a special milestone.

The day featured a range of activities, a beautiful commemorative mosaic, and a touching Colour Party led by our Guides that made for a truly proud moment.

We’re incredibly grateful to all of our volunteers and contributors who helped bring the celebration to life, as well as everyone who attended and supported the event.

We were also honoured to have Victorian State Commissioner Pam Woodhams join us, and we’re thrilled the day made such a positive impression.

Here’s to 100 years of Guiding in Drouin — and many more to come! 💛

We warmly invite past and present Guides, Leaders, volunteers, families, and friends to join us as we celebrate this very special milestone.

On Saturday 13th December the Drouin Girl Guides have been asked to sing 2 songs (Rudolf and Aussie jingle bells) at the Drouin Christmas carols event in Civic Park.

The carols start at 7:15pm. If you are able to attend we would love to see you there. Please come in full uniform including your sash with a touch of Christmas.

Parents are required to stay as we are only on stage for a short period of time.

A text will be sent out with the Drouin Girl Guides Leader contact for the night.

GGV 2025 End of year Postcard Design Challenge

Girl Guides Victoria will be sending a postcard to all Girl Guides at the end of the year, designed by a Girl Guide!

All Girl Guides Victoria Guides (aged 5-17) are invited to get creative and submit a design for our 2025 postcard.

Your design can follow any style, and can be drawn with pens and pencils, painted, or created digitally, using Microsoft Word or Canva. Your postcard needs to be a DL sized rectangle, and needs to feature the Girl Guides Trefoil.

Submissions will be judged on:
Ability to showcase Guiding in Victoria
Creativity and originality
The ability of the design to translate well onto a DL postcard

📣As part of the CSIRO Wild Watch, Girl Guides have partnered with CSIRO to provide a Limited-Edition Badge for participants.🥰

🪴 What do you need to do? Download the iNaturalist APP, (shown below) go on a nature walk and upload some photos of the interesting plants you see. Then let Wattle, (gumnut's leader) or your unit leader know you have completed this.

❗Remember you can only upload between 9-17th August to be eligible for your Limited-Edition Badge.
