Notice to all Clubs and their Members
With the ongoing interest of 1/10th Speedway on social media, please be respectful and positive when posting online.
Negativity has never resolved any issue.
For those members who want to constructively help our hobby , we applaud you, so go back to your clubs and start the conversation how the rules can be improved . Clubs then can submit rule amendments to RCRA as long as they follow our criteria .
A) Rules must make it fair and equal for everyone not a select few.
B) Reason for the rule and how it benefits' the class must be given for each rule change
C) the rule must not contradict another rule
With all the Hype with Losi induction of the Late Model it makes our draft rules outdated already. Therefore, we will be readdressing the 1/10th Draft rules within the next five(5) months or so .
The reason we have deferred revising the rules sooner is that Losi may be working on a dirt modified car, but more importantly the other manufacturers are not going to let Losi dominate the market. Team Associated and Traxxas to name a few may have prototypes under way, and I am sure there is more to play out !
Once the 1/10th landscape has settled i will arrange another online meeting to discuss the draft rules again . Clubs must currently be running 1/10th Speedway oval track classes and be a financial member of RCRA to take part in the meeting .If you are unsure if your club is registered under the speedway section, please contact Clive Silva the RCRA secretary.
Finally to bring all the different scale versions of RC Speedway under the same umbrella. RCRA are considering re naming our Quarter scale section to RC Speedway (or similar wording subject to the executives approval ) to encompass all aspects of rc speedway oval racing whether it 1/4, 1/5, 1/6 or 1/10th scale Classes.
Once again have the discuss with your club so we can move forward as united group and promote the hobby we love .
