Happy Sunday, legends. What do we think of this idea?

Interesting idea from Bob Mcleod.
I would like to put up an idea, that may or may not have some appeal to Dorrigo people.
You may be aware that Timbertown tourist park at Wauchope has closed down and most of the equipment is being auctioned off next month. It might be possible, with council and community backing and funding, to buy their railway system, including rails, carriages and locomotive(s).
I have long thought that a little steam tramline from town to Dangar falls could be a practical and very appealing feature.
The railway is narrow gauge, light and easy to maintain, and it could be set up with a little station in the creekside park, opposit the Library, and run through the park, along the riverside walk, past the old weir, and follow the earthworks of the old Hydro channel to Dangar falls.
Most of the land is already in Council or public hands, the route is near level, and very scenic. the only real difficulty would be crossing the road and creek at the rear of the electricity substation. I could see shuttle services at peak periods, and maybe one day a week during quiet periods, perhaps using a small electric loco at these quiet times, and steam for special occasions. Dorrigo would at last have it's own working railway, after 48 years of false hopes. Any action would need to be taken soon, as this is a rare chance to get the equipment in good order, and not far away. The scheme is also sympathetic to Dorrigo's history of the bush tramways at Briggsvale and Cascade, as well as highlighting the layout of the Hydro electric Plant.
Just food for thought.... Bob
