What a beautiful afternoon for our first Volunteer Afternoon Tea at the CWA Dorrigo

As always Peaches Patisserie goods were pretty as pie and sweeter than a peach.

Don't forget this is on tomorrow 2.30-4 at the CWA Dorrigo. Anyone who volunteers or is thinking of volunteering across the Plateau is welcome to come along.

Afternoon tea will be delicious because it's coming from Peaches Patisserie

There'll a short talk about mental health and what services are available, then plenty of time for mingling.

We're holding a free Volunteer Afternoon Tea for people across the plateau on the third Thursday of every month.

It'll be a chance to meet up with other volunteers, and for people who are thinking about volunteering to see what's around.

There will also be a guest speaker at each event offering practical support and skills.

We'd love to see you there. Reach out if you have any questions.

We're very excited to be planning for this event next week.

We're running this free lunch for people who care for someone on the Dorrigo Plateau. It will be a lovely, relaxed event where you can enjoy good food and meet other carers.

Roadworks in Dorrigo next week.

🚧 Power Upgrade Works - Hickory Street, Dorrigo🚧

We will be completing power upgrade works on Hickory Street from Monday 12 October 2026. Work is expected to take around four days to complete, weather permitting.

During the works, the eastern lane of Hickory Street between Cudgery Street and Pine Street will be partially closed. There will be:

🚫 No access or parking in the closed section of road
🚶 Maintained pedestrian access to the eastern footpath
↩️ A southbound detour in place through Bielsdown Street and Pine Street

Road rehabilitation works will commence mid to late November. More information on this work will be provided closer to the start date.

🌺 CELEBRATING DORRIGO’S NEW PUBLIC ART SCULPTURE 🌺

Join us for the unveiling of "Protection" the Dorrigo Waratah. A beautiful new public artwork celebrating the unique landscape and natural beauty of the Dorrigo Plateau.

📅 Friday 6 November | 6–9pm
📍 Corner of Vine & Hickory Streets, Dorrigo

At the heart of the sculpture are three Dorrigo Waratah flowers, protected within a triangular structure representing the mountains, hills, rivers and waterfalls of our spectacular Plateau.

We had a beautiful morning opening the new Neighbourhood Centre space today. Thank you to everyone who came along and helped us celebrate. A special big thank you to Dale, Nadia, Simon, Rhi, Kristen and Jocelyn who helped with the set up and clean up. Also thank you to Sara from Dorrigo Rotary Club who took these excellent photos. We'll be open as normal tomorrow from 10-1. 😊
