COMMITTEE NEEDED!
The next 3 year term for the Committee of Management for RRR starts on the 27th September 2026 so we are looking for expressions of interest from the local Equine community to take this on.
The current comittee will not be returning so we are looking for between 3 and 9 new persons to take on CoM roles as all positions will be declared open/vacant.

If you are interested in being part of the future development and maintenance of the RRR, please message with your email and a private interest declaration form will be forwarded.
A public meeting will then be held to nominate and appoint the new positions (date tba)

GRANT TO BOOST RIVERSIDE RECREATION RESERVE FOR COMMUNITY USERS

The Riverside Recreation Reserve will soon be easier to maintain and more reliable for local groups who use it, thanks to a $36,300 community grant thanks to WIM Resource Pty Ltd to install an in-ground sprinkler system.

The reserve’s grass arena is used by more than 3,000 people each year, including equestrian groups, Horsham branch of the Riding for the Disabled Association, sporting and fitness groups, dog obedience group and other community groups.

The new irrigation system will replace the current set-up where volunteers must manually move sprinklers around the oval, a time-consuming task that places a heavy burden on the small group responsible for maintaining the grounds.

Installing the new irrigation system will make watering the oval significantly more efficient, reduce the workload on volunteers and allow water to be used more sustainably, helping to reduce ongoing costs for the reserve.
