🌼 Everyone is Welcome at the Forget Me Not Café 🌼

The Forget Me Not CafΓ© is more than just a coffee catch-up. It's a place where people can come together to share stories, make friends, enjoy activities, and feel connected within their community.

Although the cafΓ© was established to support people living with dementia and memory loss, attendance is not limited to those with a diagnosis. Carers, family members, friends, seniors, and community members are all encouraged to join us.

Together, we're creating a safe, friendly, and inclusive space where no one feels alone.

πŸ“± AUSALERT NATIONAL TEST ALERT | MONDAY 27 JULY | 12:00 PM (AWST)

Please be aware that a nationwide test of the AusAlert emergency warning system will take place at 12:00 pm on Monday 27 July. Compatible mobile phones, tablets and smartwatches across Australia may receive a Critical Alert.

During the test, devices may vibrate, play a loud siren-like sound for around 10 seconds and display an alert message on screen.

Please don’t be alarmed, this is only a test. No action is required.

πŸ’™ Many people in our community are older Australians, carers, people living alone, and those who may feel anxious when receiving an unexpected emergency alert. Please consider checking in with family members, neighbours, clients and friends so they know the alert is coming.

If you're unsure what the alert means, ask a trusted family member, friend, carer or support worker for assistance. This test is designed to help ensure the system works during real emergencies such as bushfires, floods and cyclones.

⚠️ Important safety information
AusAlert Critical Alerts can be received even when a device is on Silent or Do Not Disturb. If you use a hidden or secondary phone for personal safety, including because of domestic and family violence, please review the official safety information before the test.

If receiving the test alert may create a safety risk turn the device off or place it in aeroplane mode before the test.

If you are concerned about your safety, support is available through 1800RESPECT (1800 737 732). In an emergency, call 000.

πŸš— πŸš— Drivers and riders: If you receive the alert while travelling, stay focused on the road. Do not handle your phone while driving. Pull over and check the notification only when it is safe and legal to do so.
