The importance of teamwork and training in the emergency services was highlighted during a multi-agency search and rescue exercise at Seven Mile Beach today.
Participating agencies include Tasmania Police Marine Rescue and helicopter resources, Ambulance Tasmania, Aviation Rescue Fire Fighting Service, Sea Rescue Dodges Ferry and Carlton Park Surf Livesaving Club/Surf Life Saving Tasmania.
This training is a critical component of emergency preparedness and testing of emergency plans, ensuring that all agencies can respond swiftly, effectively, and in a coordinated manner in the event real-life incidents occur.

In appreciation of our very quick response following a recent call for assistance from Tasmania Police on behalf of the Hobbs family, the Hobbs family have made a generous and much appreciated donation. The donation has helped in covering part of the purchase price of a replacement trailer for one of our shallow water rescue vessels. Sincere thanks to the Hobbs family from all the volunteers at Sea Rescue Dodges Ferry.
