BSMM’s Tug WATTLE restoration crew will have a big display of WATTLE, its history, its progress and it’s futures at the Seaworks Winter Solstice Festival on Friday night, 19th June.
Come over, say hello and enjoy the full Solstice night of fun, food and fire.
82 Nelson Place, Williamstown, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM.

The Seaworks Winter Solstice Festival is back in Williamstown, turning the historic waterfront into a blazing celebration of fire, light and community, and it's completely free.

Expect roaming performers popping up across the site alongside DJs, dance performances and live music, all set against the backdrop of the water on one of the year's coldest nights. There'll be plenty of food and warm winter treats to keep you going, and the whole thing is free and suitable for all ages.

By the age of the TCN Channel 9 TV van, possibly circa the 1960’s?

Great progress is being made on establishing our new workshop in a vacant heritage shed 9 at SeaWorks.
Transit Containers are being unpacked, shelving installed, pallet racking fixed in place, signage attached to the outside of our shed.
Good to have three new members (Margaret, John and Zac) join BSMM yesterday.
ST WATTLE move to Williamstown still planned for some time in June.
A tremendous effort from members in this relocation.

As we continue good progress on setting up our new workshop at SeaWorks in Williamstown, it was a delight last Saturday to host WATTLE veterans, Tony Lewis, Ron Stannus and Jeff Malley for a visit.
It was a chance for us to sing Happy 100th Birthday to Ron as he blew out the candles on his cake.
Good onya Ron!

Yes, we are now doing the big move.
The large machinery was trucked over to our new workshop space at SeaWorks in Williamstown yesterday.
In coming weeks we will progressively move containers into place and unpack those that are not remaining.

We now need to raise money for the desperately needed other woodworking machinery.
We need a planer/ thicknesser, plus two dust extractors and a router. Total cost around $3,500.

Please help with a donation by going to our website at www.tugwattle.org.au.
You can simply click on the “Donate” button or make direct EFT transfer into the “Wattle Restoration Account” as per bank details indicated.

Thanks for your support everyone.
Let’s keep Melbourne and Australia’s maritime heritage alive.

We’re steaming ahead with the fitout of our new workshop at SeaWorks in Williamstown.
Drop by and have a look. You can even help out. We’d love to see you.

You can access our Shed 9 from the Anne Street entrance or find us behind The Pirates’ Tavern if entering from SeaWorks’ Nelson Parade entry.

And fantastic to see yesterday, the “launch” of the newly refurbished pier at Williamstown.
State ministers Horne and Demopoulos conducted the official “launch” ceremony.
ST WATTLE will be moving to berth at this pier in the coming months.
