Dimboola Dash Sunday 12 April

The DPA will be supporting the Dimboola Dash with the following events tomorrow

Family BBQ 10am to 1pm

Kids Egg & Spoon Race at approx 1.45pm following the kids run at 1pm

RACE DAY! SUNDAY 12th April

START TIMES:
9.00am: Marathon (runners only)
9.10am: Half marathon (runners only)
9.20am: 10km RUNNERS
9.30am: 5km (runners and walkers)
9.40am: 10km WALKERS
1.00pm: 2km KIDS Dash for U12s
(Parents can walk/run with their children)
FREE EVENT but registration still required.

COURSE
All events will be run on a 7km stretch of newly constructed trails and established walking tracks between Dimboola and the Lochiel Rest Area on the edge of the Western Highway.

The Marathon is three out-and-back laps;
The Half will involve an out-and-back lap for the full 7km trail, then, an out-and-back lap of the first half of the trail - at the 3.5km mark ;
10km will be an out-and-back on the first 5km of the trail;
5km will be an out-and-back on the first 2.5km of the trail:
The 2km Kids’ Dash will be an out-and-back on the first 1km of the trail.

ROAD CLOSURES
On Sunday 12 April 2026, Lochiel Street (from Old Weir Lane through to the Common), Old Weir Lane (Rear of Dimboola Library), Faith Street (Southern End), Swallows Lane (Southern End) and Howlands Lane will be closed to all vehicle traffic from 7:00am to 4:00pm

Dimboola Dash Running Festival

This Sunday 12th of April

Volunteers wanted to assist with marshalling, 6 people needed each for a 3 hour shift, must be able to get to your post along the track between the library and Lochiel.

No set up or pack up required, just need to hand out drinks to the runners
