Notice to Competitors
Notice to Competitors and Judges: Photos/videos may be taken during events, providing it doesn’t interfere with the competition and judging.
When required by the stewards, all stock must be paraded. Exhibitors failing to parade shall be liable to have prize withheld.
When restrictive conditions are attached to entries, statutory declarations will be required from every exhibitor without exception.
All competitors compete at their own risk. Horses can compete in more than one section if eligible. A competitor must choose to enter in classes as either a Show Hunter or a Show Horse, but not enter both. Once a horse has competed as a Show Horse or Show Hunter at its first VAS event in the calendar year it must remain as a Show Horse or Show Hunter for the current year. Once a horse has successfully won a Champion in its first ring it cannot continue to compete in that equivalent section in other rings during the show. First Place getters are eligible to compete in multiple rings until successful as Champion.
Any pure and part-bred classes must present breed registration certificates unless competing in an unregistered class.
All horses which do not have a registered certificate of height must produce Society certificate prior to judging.
Stallions or Colts are prohibited to compete at this show.
Random Swabbing and horse registration checks may take place at any time.
A $ 3.00 swabbing fee per horse is to be paid by all entrants.
Fees to be held by WASA in a special fund for the continuation of Random
Annual Swabbing at all Wimmera Shows.
E.F.A. Random swabbing may occur at this show.
Medication Control of horses may take place in accordance with the
Equestrian Australia Equine Anti-Doping and Controlled Medication

Medication Control System and Swabbing Policy 1st January 2015)
NO LUNGING ALLOWED ON THE MAIN OVAL
No Dogs allowed on oval during horse events
When measuring a horse or pony, an allowance of 10mm for shoes may be made at the discretion of the measurer.
If the judge entertains a doubt as to correctness of a height certificate, said Judge has the power to order the exhibitor to be re-measured. In such a case the Steward shall accompany the exhibit to the measurer and supervise the re-measuring.
Where height is stipulated in the schedule, a Saddle horse shall be over 14 hands, a pony 14 hands and under and a Shetland pony 10 hands, 2 inches or under.
A Novice is a horse or rider not having won a first prize at any Agricultural Show. An Elementary is having won a novice class but not an open class.
District is within a 40km radius of Dimboola
No horses are to compete with prize ribbons on them.
Any competitor delaying the time-table by being entered in sections being judged at the same time, must withdraw from one section.
Rings will not be held up for any competitors.
Any and all protests must be lodged in writing with the show secretary by the conclusion of the day of competition. A deposit of $100.00 must accompany the protest, which will be forfeited if the protest is deemed to be unfounded or frivolous.
All competitors must fill out a ‘Horse Event Waiver’ entry form prior to competing in any event.
All horse and Ponies required to be measured must be measured by the official measurer between 8am and 9am on the day of the show
All competitors must hold a height certificate, to be presented in the ring if requested. NOTE: Winners of first prize in any section except novice classes must compete for the Champion prizes or will forfeit any prize in that class.
