Oscar's Rescue & Rehabilitation

So today we were setting up our stall at Cat Lover's Festival. Founder Dan got a bit star struck meeting Kitten Lady who was hard at work putting her own stall together. Dan may have made a dumb comment about how Kitten Lady is even more beautiful in real life 🫪 So embarrassing and inappropriate! (Sorry, Kitten Lady!!!) In saying that, Dan is taking inspiration from this encounter and will attempt some self-care alongside kitty duties! 😅

Cat Lover's Festival is on THIS weekend! Come visit us in the Adoption Zone and go listen to Kitten Lady speak (she is a wealth of information!)

Hello everyone!

We are reaching out here to see if anyone can assist us as a volunteer at Colour Frenzy on the morning of Sun 18th Oct, 7:45am-11:30am Park. Organisers donate funds to our rescue for each volunteer we can recruit. Those funds pay for vet costs etc. We will run car pooling to and from Jells Park since it is a hike for our supporrers in the west! If you are free and want to help, please let us know!

To celebrate, the organisers are allowing us to give away a double pass (2 tickets) to join the fun!
To go into the draw, simply tell us in the comments: Who would you bring to Colour Frenzy?
And maybe for a little extra fun… tell us the name of your furry best friend too! Photos of furry friends welcome!

This local stray came into care heavily pregnant despite being only 8 months old and soon gave birth to 4 little jellybeans.

She was clearly a pet originally, judging by how friendly she is. Someone abandoned her undesexed and here we are.

Please everyone, desex your cat.

Teagan is looking for love... lots and lots of it. She just cannot get enough! Just do not ask her to share your love, this queen needs to be the only cat. She is a jealous lady 😅 Ever wanted a cat whose meows sound like she has a smoking habit? Well, now is your chance!

Jade has been growing up in care, and it makes us sad she does not have a home to call her own as yet.

She is a little shy with strangers at first, but once she is comfortable with you, she will share her heart and soul with you ❤️

Jade can be cheeky, giving a friendly quick nip to say "hey hooman, my breakfast is late!" 🤣

Apply now!

***Astrid Update***

Our FIP kitty is doing well... but she is obsessed with whatever her carer is eating 😅

Her last blood test showed no signs of FIP reoccurence, but she was showing some returning neurological symptoms so vet has prescribed another 4 weeks of antiviral treatment and she seems to be feeling happy and well. Astrid may not recover 100% from her slight wobbliness and stunned facial expression, but it does not stop her doing anything.

Do you have a kitty obsessed with human food? Please show us!

Our rescue is running $12K in the red right now, and we will not be able to assist the community during the incoming kitten season if we cannot fundraise to clear our outstanding bills. As a result, we have launched a Go Fund Me: https://gofund.me/3c8fa3393

Alternatively, you can donate via:
Paypal - [email protected]
Direct Deposit - 923100 30161632

A big thank you to all of you who have donated, we appreciate your kindness and generosity so very much!

***Happy Home Tail***

Onyx (previously Emine, AKA "Baby Bat") and Olly (previously Earl) were tiny bottle babies when we took on their care. Look at them now all grown up!

We had been called to pick up one neonate kitten from a vet clinic, but when we arrived, a 2nd had been handed in moments prior. Both had been found alone on the streets with no mum cat in sight. It was this fateful day that two kittens were destined to meet and become best friends.

It is over a year later and these two are still inseparable and we are so grateful they were adopted together. We love updates like these!

For a trip down memory lane with these two, see our reel:
