Cold fingers, big smiles & very tired riders!

The days started with some very cold fingertips, but they were soon forgotten as the kids got stuck into a jam-packed weekend of Cross Country, Sporting, Show Jumping, our new Obstacle Course, Mechanical Cow, Safety Falling, Egg & Spoon, Paint my Pony and Dressage Tests!

It was fantastic to combine with Merriwa Pony Club for a XC Schooling & August Rally Day weekend. There was plenty happening and most importantly, plenty of fun! Thank you to all of our incredible instructors for creating a great opportunity for our riders to develop their skills and build their confidence, and of course, thank you to all the parents and volunteers who helped set up, pack up and run the day. By the end of the weekend the kids, the ponies and parents were completely worn out…. a great weekend was had by all!

And finally … A huge thank you to for sponsoring Denman Pony Club as we now have a new Square payment system for our canteen and it has already revolutionised the way our canteen ordering and sales operates!

Happy days all round!

This ODE Training Pathway is designed to encourage more junior pony club riders to participate in an ODE by giving them an understanding of the event and disciplines, skills, confidence and experience to ride in this setting, whilst also forming a partnership with their horse. (The training sessions are limited to only 10 riders split into 2 groups of 5 riders.)

**For our more experienced eventers, stay tuned as we will be announcing additional clinic dates soon with training opportunities designed to help you continue developing and refining your skills too.**

Congratulations to all of our DPC Jumpers!
What a fantastic weekend of jumping and fun at Singleton Show Jumping Championship …there were lots of podium finishes and celebratory rounds across the weekend with our riders achieving brilliant results in their various grades:
• Olivia Hanby – Champion
• Alice Callinan – Reserve Champion
• Stella Power – 1st Place in the Six Bar Challenge (joint with Estelle Cox)
• Estelle Cox – 3rd Place
• Annika Parker – 4th Place
• Isobel Richards – 5th Place
• Mia Turner – 5th Place in the Six Bar Challenge

Thank you also to Singleton Pony Club for hosting such a great event, our riders had a great time!

One of Denman Pony Club's longest-standing members, Phil Logue, a passionate mounted games competitor himself has plenty to be proud of, with his grandson Bailey Logue representing Australia at the 2026 International Mounted Games Exchange. Bailey was part of the winning Australian team, an outstanding achievement for the entire squad. Competing on pooled horses, the team demonstrated exceptional horsemanship, adaptability and teamwork to bring home the win.
Congratulations to every member of the Australian team on this fantastic international success. This is great inspiration for our riders at Denman Pony Club, as we are hosting a Mounted Games Day soon!

DPC Riders shine at Narrabri Polocrosse Tournament!

While many of our riders were learning the fundamentals of polocrosse at our Mini Camp over the weekend, several of Denman Pony Club's more experienced members were busy competing with outstanding success at the Narrabri Polocrosse Tournament.

A huge congratulations to our riders on their fantastic achievements:

- Charlotte Caruana: Runner-up in the A Grade Sub-Junior Division. Also selected as one of the 12 best Sub-Junior players of the carnival to compete in Saturday's Exhibition Match with her team taking the win.

- Dave & Ben Caruana: Runner-up in the C Grade Open Division.

- Jessie Caruana: played exceptionally well in the Under 12 B Grade Subdivision.

What an incredible finish to the Denman Pony Club Mini Camp! With our 60+ riders ...days 2 and 3 brought even more excitement as we introduced archery, sporting and tetrathlon pistols, along with our Challenge Day on Sunday for riders who wanted to put their skills to the test. From dressage tests, grading, jump-offs, sporting races and working patterns, every rider embraced the challenges with enthusiasm and determination. The improvement over the three days was outstanding, and it was wonderful to celebrate our Challenge Champions, Most Improved Riders and recipients of the Spirit of Camp awards.

While the awards were well deserved, the greatest achievements were the confidence gained, new friendships formed and the countless smiles shared by both riders and parents throughout the weekend.

A huge thank you goes to our amazing team of instructors, whose knowledge, encouragement and enthusiasm made such a positive impact on every rider. We are also very grateful to every parent who volunteered their time to help make the camp run so smoothly.

A very special thank you to Dungog Pony Club for collaborating with and supporting Denman Pony Club to deliver such a fantastic event for riders from across the state. Your partnership helped make this camp an unforgettable experience.
