Stony Range Regional Botanic Garden Stony Range Regional Botanic Garden is an oasis of Australian native plants located at Dee Why in the heart of the northern beaches.

It is famous for its spring floral displays and is the perfect place for a walk, picnic, or intimate functions such as weddings. Every year it hosts a Spring Festival.The garden is jointly managed by Northern Beaches Council and a Volunteer Advisory Committee. It is free and open every day except Christmas.Intricate walkways take visitors to a variety of microclimates. The main circuit takes appro

ximately 20 minutes to complete and in 2013 was extended to include the accessible sensory track - where people of all abilities can experience the Australian bush like never before. Signs along the sensory track point to plants you can touch, taste, smell, and look at, to observe the garden with all your senses. There are also side tracks for the energetic and inquisitive. Stony Range is an ideal destination for the school holidays. The "find me" brochures serve as an interactive guide for kids to explore the garden's fascinating elements. Visit Stony Range to witness the vibrant Crowea flower, which holds the distinction of being the range's emblem. The garden is a treasure trove of surprises. A ringtail possum had cleverly made a home within a staghorn plant, and was unexpectedly discovered during watering. The nursery welcomes visitors on Tuesdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and on Saturdays from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

The Stony Range emblem, Crowea saligna, is now in flower and can be viewed on the hillside track. Furthermore, the striking cone of the "pineapple "cycad is also visible. The nursery operates on Tuesdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and Saturdays from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
