A special night in the Dee Why kitchen ❤️🍽️

Our Dee Why team welcomed a new supervisor, Hayley, for her first service, and what a way to kick things off! 👩‍🍳✨

From prepping the ingredients to getting every dish ready, the team worked together to serve up a delicious meal and create a welcoming space for our community.

💙 Donating your container refund is easier than you think!
Here’s how to support Street Mission every time you recycle:

1️⃣ Open the Return and Earn app.
2️⃣ Select Street Mission as your active donation partner.
3️⃣ Scan your app at any Return and Earn machine.
4️⃣ Deposit your eligible bottles, cans and cartons.
That’s it! Every container becomes another opportunity to help provide meals, practical support and hope to people doing it tough.

A few containers may not seem like much, but together they can make an incredible difference. Save this post for your next recycling trip!

♻️ Your recycling can now help feed someone in need.

We’re excited to announce that Street Mission is now an official Return and Earn donation partner! Every eligible bottle, can and carton you recycle is worth 10 cents. Instead of keeping your refund, you can now choose to donate it directly to Street Mission.

Those small donations quickly add up to:
🍽️ More hot meals
🧥 More clothing and essential supplies
❤️ More support for people experiencing hardship across the Northern Beaches.

It only takes a few seconds to make a difference.

🥢 Saturday Night at Street Mission Balgowlah 🥢

What a fantastic evening around the table! ❤️

Our guests enjoyed a delicious three-course meal featuring crispy vegetarian spring rolls, Shandong chicken, hoisin & five-spice roasted pork, Cantonese soy sauce egg noodles, fried rice, gochujang & honey glazed pumpkin, stir-fried vegetables, and to finish, vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce and crushed peanuts.

None of this would be possible without our incredible volunteers, who spent hours planning, preparing, cooking, serving, and cleaning up to create a warm, welcoming experience for everyone who walked through our doors. Your generosity, hard work, and heart are what make Street Mission so special.

To the volunteers who gave up their Saturday night to serve our community, thank you. You are making a real difference, one meal and one conversation at a time. ❤️

💙 FY2026: A Year of Impact, Thanks to You. 💛

As we close out FY2026, we’re reflecting on what has been an incredible year for Street Mission, and none of it would have been possible without our amazing community.

✨ Over 3,200 meals were served across our two community kitchens.
✨ Kitchen attendance grew by 7%, with an average of 30 people joining us at every kitchen.
✨ Through smarter operations, we reduced our average kitchen cost by 8%, allowing every dollar donated to go even further.

These numbers represent so much more than statistics. They represent warm meals, meaningful conversations, new friendships, hope, and people knowing they have a place where they belong.

To every volunteer who gave up their time, every donor who contributed, every partner who stood alongside us, and every person who continues to believe in our mission, thank you. Your generosity, compassion and commitment are changing lives across our community every single week.

Together, we’re proving that when a community comes together, incredible things happen.

🍔 LET’S FILL GRILL’D DEE WHY FOR STREET MISSION! ❤️

There’s still time to make a real difference this July!

We’re looking for friends, families, workplaces, sporting teams and community groups to host a Street Mission Fundraising Dinner at Grill’d Dee Why before the end of the month.

Here’s why it’s such an easy way to support our community:

❤️ Tickets are just $25 per person
🍔 Includes a standard burger and chips
💛 $10 from every ticket goes directly to Street Mission
🪙 Plus, everyone receives Local Matters tokens to vote for Street Mission, helping us secure even more funding!
🍷 Grill’d have also offered to throw in a few extra surprises for fundraising groups.

The best part? You only need 5 or more people to host a fundraising dinner, and the bigger the group, the bigger the impact.

So whether it’s:

This July, every burger can help make a difference.
We’re excited to share that Street Mission has been selected as one of three local charities featured in the Grill’d Local Matters program at Grill’d Dee Why! 🎉

Here’s how you can support us:
🍔 Grab a burger, salad or eligible main meal at Grill’d Dee Why during July.
🪙 You’ll receive a Local Matters token (or an online vote if you order through the Grill’d website or app).
🗳️ Simply place your token in the Street Mission jar before you leave.
It’s that easy!

Every month, Grill’d Dee Why donates $500 to three local community groups. The charity with the most customer votes receives $300, while the other two charities each receive $100. Every single token is a vote that helps determine how the donation is shared.

Your support will help Street Mission continue providing:
❤️ Hot meals
❤️ Food hampers
❤️ Clothing and essential supplies
❤️ A welcoming community for people experiencing hardship across the Northern Beaches.
