📚 THANK YOU, FOOTPATH LIBRARY 💙🧡

Every Wednesday night at our Dee Why Community Café, something special happens.

Alongside a warm meal and friendly conversation, our guests are given the opportunity to take home a free book thanks to the incredible team at the Footpath Library. As Australia’s only free-giving mobile library for people experiencing homelessness, they believe that everyone deserves the comfort, escape and inspiration that reading can bring.

Books do more than fill shelves. They open minds, spark hope, reduce isolation and create moments of peace during difficult times. Through their generosity, countless people visiting Street Mission have discovered new stories, new ideas and a renewed sense of connection.

To the volunteers and supporters of the Footpath Library, thank you for showing that dignity, kindness and opportunity can come in many forms, sometimes between the covers of a book.

Together, we’re helping write new chapters for people doing it tough on the Northern Beaches. ❤️

From preparation to plating, our amazing volunteers worked together to create a delicious Italian-inspired meal for our community. ❤️

A massive shout out to the incredibly generous CBA employees from 10 local branches who came together to support our community! 💙

Staff donated clothing and blankets, and branch managers went the extra mile by bringing everything together at the Dee Why branch for collection by Street Mission.

These donations will help provide warmth, comfort and dignity to people experiencing hardship across the Northern Beaches this winter.

Thank you to everyone who contributed. Your generosity and community spirit will make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most. 🙏
