Deception Bay District Girl Guides Guiding in Queensland was established in 1919 due to the demand from girls wanting to become Girl Guides.

The Deception Bay District Girl Guides meet at Rothwell Community Hall - 176 Morris Road Rothwell Qld 4022 on Thursday Nights between 5.30apm - 7.30pm

mbers and 1000 volunteer Leaders and adult Members. Girl Guides Queensland is made up of 24 Regions, which contain over 160 Districts throughout Queensland. Each District may be made up of several multi-aged Units, with youth members aged 5 to 17, Leaders (18+) and Junior Leaders (14-17) in various roles. Girl Guides Queensland is an organisation that creates safe and friendly environments for children and young people where they can:

Feel safe and are protected from harm,
Have a say in planning activities and other decisions affecting them,
Are listened to,
Are respected,
And have their best interests considered and upheld. We are an organisation that welcomes and actively seeks members from all racial, ethnic, religious and socio-economic groups. Girl Guides Queensland is a member organisation of Girl Guides Australia and a member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). We are also a member of Queensland Youth Alliance (QYA), which is a mainstream organisation in Queensland that advocates for young peoples access to personal and leadership development.

Good afternoon, community,

We would like to inform everyone that Deception Bay Girl Guides is not closing down. We are simply relocating to the Rothwell Community Hall, located on Morris Road, Rothwell, starting next year.

From 2026, our meetings will be held once a week on Thursday evenings, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

Please note that we will continue to meet at our current location until the end of this year.

Thank you for your ongoing support, and we look forward to welcoming you to our new venue next year!

Our Deception Bay Girl Guides unit is growing, and we are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to support our girls on their Guiding journey.
We are in need of:

🔹 Parent Helpers
Whether you can help weekly, fortnightly, or occasionally, your time and support can make a meaningful difference in the lives of young girls in our community.
No prior experience is necessary—training and ongoing support are provided. If you're passionate about empowering girls, building confidence, and having fun, we would love to hear from you!
