Dayboro Rovers. So what exactly are Rovers? Are we people who go wondering into the bush and exploring the great Australian landscape, or the local IGA?

Not quite, we are 18-26 year old who want to have a good time (and if we learn some stuff along the way even better). We are the oldest section of scouting and are mostly self governed. We meet up and organize what activities we want to do; 4x4ing, Movies, Camping, Rock-climbing, we also work to help our local, state, national and even international communities through service. We volunteer and as

sist with events and work to help others. We get the opportunity to participate in loads of awesome state, national and international events.

- Banana Bash (where we race self built 4x4 across crazy tracks)

- QLD Moot (Camps with Rovers from all over QLD with different expeditions)

- International Moots (Theres one in Iceland in 2017)

What's with the Knights?

Rovers is based on the legend of St George, the Patron Saint of Scouting. St George demonstrated the qualities that Lord Baden-Powell wanted to foster in scouts. Selflessness, morality and courage.

When you join Rovers, you become a 'Squire' or 'Trainee' Rover and once you have learned some basic Rover-ing skills and had some camps you then get invested as a Rover Knight (pretty cool)

Bash cars are a major interest of rovers. Basically we drive self built 4x4s around rally tracks. Dayboro is currently investing in building our own bash car. The more the merior so if your interested in thrashing around or building cars Rovers is the place for you!!!!
