So these two lovely ladies, who are invaluable when it comes to Snake Smart Training desperately need names! I am open to suggestions. The people who suggest the best two names get 50% off their Snake Smart Training course!

They are both Mulga Snakes/ King Browns (Pseudechis australis), and are about 2.5 years old.

Note: This one day course is aligned with national standards, is fully insured and all necessary permits are kept and maintained.
- Theory component covers NT legislation (what you can and can’t do with wild snakes), how to ID a snake correctly, snake behaviour, essential equipment, Safe Operational Procedures (SOPs), hazards, risks and risk controls, PPE, venom pathways and of course, First Aid.
- Practical phase is focused on correct Personal Protective Equipment, Introduction to live snakes and snake handling equipment, site assessment, and application of correct catching techniques.

Last month I donated my time to deliver some snake training to Dripstone Children's Centre. All participants did an amazing job, and are ready to react appropriately next time a snake slithers into their centre, or even their house!
We learnt all about snake behaviour, what to do when you come across one, and how to identify them correctly- (Colour doesn't mean anything!). We also took a couple of mulga/king brown snakes out for a lesson in staying calm and using the right tools for the job, which can even include a broom!
