"Why policy and what is it?"

Register via Zoom: https://charlesdarwinuni.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_bPEYevMTTveNrVCjSD0pxQ

"Most people's eyes glaze over when they hear the word policy, followed by a desperate need to get far, far away. Though don't be fooled - policy is not boring, it's anything but. When we think about it, policy is all around us (ok, potentially unsettling, hang in there). From 'big P' government policy, to strategic, organisational and operational policies, this stuff is everywhere. It shapes our schools and health centres, how we get to and from work, how we do our work. It keeps us safe, it keeps us in check, it nudges our behaviours. Policy positions organisations to do what matters for their stakeholders, to make a difference, to generate value."

One thing we don't really cover in Uni - when you start in a law firm you will need to learn how to use legal software for case management, time recording, billing and trust accounting tools, etc.

One of these programs is LEAP Legal Software, and they contacted us to let us know of a FREE training resource that could be useful for students:

"LEAP Academy is our new complimentary online training platform that allows you to get your hands on LEAP. Consisting of video tutorials, interactive activities and quizzes, all LEAP Academy courses are digestible and easy to follow. Students that complete the LEAP Academy short course will earn a certificate of completion, which they can add to their LinkedIn profiles."

Sounds like some good CV fuel, check it out:
