Our gathering in Litchfield was a small way to recognise the incredible contribution you made to our community. Thank you for your time, energy and commitment.

Together, we continue building a stronger community.

Thank you Jinson Anto Charls MLA for coming to the Latin American Festival and for your support of multicultural communities in the Territory.

It meant a lot to see so many people from different backgrounds coming together to celebrate culture, connection and community. We are very grateful for the support from the Northern Territory Government in helping events like this happen and continue growing every year.

What made the Latin American Festival – Carnival Edition 2026 truly special was seeing so many communities come together with pride, joy and heart ❤️

A huge THANK YOU to all the communities, groups, families and representatives who joined our Community Hub and festival activities to share their culture, traditions, music, stories and spirit with the Northern Territory and Darwin community.

Thank you for showing up, supporting each other, participating and helping us create a festival that felt vibrant, welcoming and united. This event is something we build together 🙌

Still processing everything that happened at the Latin American Festival – Carnival Edition 2026 ❤️

Now that things have settled a little, we really want to take a moment to thank all the volunteers and Board Members who made this event possible.

Latin American Association Darwin (LAAD) is entirely volunteer-led. Behind this festival there are people with full-time jobs, families, studies, responsibilities, hobbies, and busy lives… yet they still chose to give their time, energy and heart to the community.

Thank you for every meeting, every idea, every video, every message, every late afternoon, every setup and pack down, every stressful moment solved behind the scenes, and every hour dedicated to making this event happen.

More than 3,500 people came together to celebrate culture, connection and diversity at Darwin Civic Park — and that only happened because a group of people believed in this vision and worked together to make it real 🌎✨

Thank you for your creativity, commitment, patience, support, and love for the Latin American community.

This festival was built by all of us ❤️🙌

Todavía estamos procesando todo lo que pasó en el Latin American Festival – Carnival Edition 2026 ❤️

Ahora que las cosas se han calmado un poco, queremos tomarnos un momento para agradecer a todos los voluntarios y miembros de la directiva que hicieron posible este evento.

La Latin American Association Darwin (LAAD) funciona completamente gracias a voluntarios. Detrás de este festival hay personas con trabajos de tiempo completo, familias, estudios, responsabilidades, hobbies y vidas ocupadas… y aun así decidieron entregar su tiempo, energía y cariño a la comunidad.

Gracias por cada reunión, cada idea, cada video, cada mensaje, cada tarde dedicada al festival, cada montaje y desmontaje, cada momento estresante resuelto detrás de escena y cada hora dedicada a hacer esto realidad.

Más de 3.500 personas se reunieron en Darwin Civic Park para celebrar cultura, conexión y diversidad — y eso solo fue posible porque un grupo de personas creyó en esta visión y trabajó unido para hacerla realidad 🌎✨

Gracias por su creatividad, compromiso, paciencia, apoyo y amor por la comunidad latinoamericana.

Este festival fue construido entre todos ❤️🙌

Ainda estamos processando tudo o que aconteceu no Latin American Festival – Carnival Edition 2026 ❤️

Agora que as coisas se acalmaram um pouco, queremos tirar um momento para agradecer a todos os voluntários e membros da diretoria que tornaram este evento possível.

A Latin American Association Darwin (LAAD) é totalmente liderada por voluntários. Por trás deste festival existem pessoas com trabalhos em tempo integral, famílias, estudos, responsabilidades, hobbies e vidas ocupadas… e mesmo assim escolheram dedicar seu tempo, energia e carinho à comunidade.

Obrigado por cada reunião, cada ideia, cada vídeo, cada mensagem, cada tarde dedicada ao festival, cada montagem e desmontagem, cada momento estressante resolvido nos bastidores e cada hora dedicada para fazer este evento acontecer.

We are truly beyond words… 💛✨

What happened at the Latin American Festival – Carnival Edition 2026 was something deeply special.
More than 3000 people came together — not just to celebrate, but to connect, to feel, to belong.

You could feel it everywhere… in the music, in the dancing, in the food, in every smile.
This wasn’t just an event — this was our community coming alive.

We felt incredibly honoured to share this moment with Hon. Jinson Charls MLA; Hon. Robyn Cahill OAM; Dr. Tanzil Rahman MLA; Laurie Zio MLA; and Mr Edwin Joseph, Office of Multicultural Affairs, Northern Territory Government.
Thank you for standing with our community and being part of this celebration 💛

A heartfelt thank you to the Northern Territory Government and the City of Darwin — your support helps make moments like this possible.

This festival is not built by one person.
It is built by all of us — together.

By every volunteer, every performer, every food stall, every family that showed up with love.

We are proud.
We are grateful.
And we are just getting started 💃🏽🔥
