What a week it’s been for Darwin! Category 3 came with her destructive winds giving us some hair raising moments. Lord’s pregnant Queens were tucked away safely, oblivious to falling trees and the chaos around them. Thankfully both Lord’s house and ours stood strong and kept us safe and sound - we are built territory tough! Come morning, we were saddened to see the mess Fina left behind. So many banyan trees, rain trees, ghost gums and mahogany trees of more than 50 years old, fell all around Darwin. Even loosing the iconic “Tree of resilience which survived Cyclone Marcus and the eroding cliff it was clutching to. We are left with the sounds of chainsaws and the grumbles of heavy machinery. Thank you for all those who sent us a DM
checking in on us x

Category 3 Cyclone Fina is well on her way! With destructive winds approaching, it’s time to evacuate the “House of Lords” to a cosy shelter inside the main house.

Reality is sinking in as we prepare Queenie for her transition into her new forever home.
We’ll miss this beautiful, quirky, and intensely affectionate girl — our little personal space invader who has filled our days with cuddles and unique hair styles. Knowing she will be warmly welcomed and deeply loved by her new family brings us so much comfort. Her cup will overflow, and she will live the fulfilled, love-filled life she truly deserves. 💗
