Mindil Beach Surf Life Saving Club's Nippers Program is open to children aged 5–14 years and offers an exciting 8-week journey into the world of Surf Life Saving!

Starting on the 19th of July, participants will learn essential water safety and beach skills while enjoying a mix of swimming, surf sports, beach activities, and team-based games. Children are grouped by age, giving them the chance to build confidence, develop new skills, make lasting friendships, and most importantly—have fun!

Whether your child is already comfortable in the water or looking to build their confidence, Nippers is a fantastic way to stay active, learn valuable life skills, and become part of a great community.

Mindil Beach Surf Life Saving Club is a volunteer-run organisation providing vital lifesaving services to the Northern Territory community. In 2025, the club delivered over 500 patrol hours at East Point and Lake Alexander, ensuring a consistent and reliable safety presence for families, swimmers, and visitors.

Through hosting the NT Surf Life Saving Championships and fostering strong collaboration across clubs, MBSLSC demonstrates a deep commitment to community engagement and public safety.

As the season wraps up down South, we're only just getting started up North! Thank you in advance to all the Surf Life Saving volunteers throughout the Northern Territory who are about to commence patrolling for Mindil Beach, Darwin Surf Life Saving Club and Gove Peninsula Surf Life Saving Club. There are so many hours each year volunteered on and off the beach. We appreciate each and every one of you ❤️💛
